Are they all the same risk for gastric ulcers? What about adding a full tube of gastrogard would that add any protection at all? Has anybody used these on there ulcer prone horse? What would be less risky?
Thanks in advance!

Yucca and willow are non selective COX inhibitors and, being supplements, may vary widely in how much active ingredient is actually present.
Equioxx/Previcox (firocoxib) is a selective COX-2 inhibitor and, as an actual drug, is required to actually contain what the label says.
Your best bet is Equioxx/Previcox. Sure, you can give a prevent dose of omeprazole when using it, but do also consider the risk to the hind gut with that PPI use.

Thank you for the response! I have been wondering what would be the symptoms of hindgut ulcers? As I have been worrying!
Let’s see if we can find a good run down for you
This looks to cover it pretty well:

Sometimes, horses with vague stomach ulcer symptoms that do not improve with treatment, or scope clean, have hind gut ulcers.
Sucralfate is often prescribed, along with feed changes. Ranitidine can be useful for both gastric ulcers and hind gut.
My 19 yo is ulcer prone and has been on daily previcoxx for ~6 months - I too was worried about this when we started the Previcoxx. No noticeably ulcery symptoms since starting the previcoxx. YMMV.
I got away with about 6 months of Previcox on my hindgutty mare before I had to start treating with Sucralfate. My mare’s indications of hindgut unhappiness are anorexia and nqr poo. I was lucky that NSAIDS would not be needed permanently, but it was close to 8 months or so she needed Previcox.
