This is a two year old thread. Breeding has probably been done at this point in time.
I have a mare I bred to Remarquez this year. He moves nice and my mare has great movement. Will continue to breed horses to him. He showed really great when he was younger, but an injury in the breeding shed as a young stallion limited his career under saddle. He was broke as a 9 year old stallion after several years of being on breed leases, which shows how great his mind is, but he has been mostly used as a breeding stallion. Produced a ton of very fine painted and non-painted foals. Remarquez baby owners tend to be very pleased with their foals’ trainability, conformation, movement, and temperament. A fine stallion to use to refine mares. Improves heads on all of his foals, something not every stallion will do.
Snowy River I bred to one of my mares a few years back. They threw a gorgeous buckskin overo Thoroughbred colt sold as an upper level eventing prospect. He, quote, “competed in the FEH as a yearling in Ocala, FL and easily qualified for finals!” He had great bone, conformation, and movement, though the mare was stunning and very balanced. Actually, she was by Remarquez come to think of it.
Never had any issues with Colordale Farm. They are respectable breeders and produce very nice foals year to year, albeit the property being on the smaller side. They don’t sacrifice on quality or management though. Live cover mares are managed by a reputable Equine Reproduction veterinarian close by the farm. Stallions always show up well mannered and in great condition.
Its safer to assume the worst, and many of you are not as familiar with them as I am, but I assure you Colordale Farm takes good care of their horses and their equine vet takes good care of yours. Remarquez has, if I recall correctly, 80% motility even at age 16. He has no issues getting mares in foal and is an excellent choice for a hard breeder. From what I hear (and have seen in person), Remarquez is very easy to manage and maintain, with a gentlemanly personality.
If you want to see the mare I have bred to him for a March 7, 2021 foal, visit https://www.tannicmountainfarm.com/myprincessallyson-2021
I am incredibly excited for this BIG 2021 baby and strongly support more Remarquez babies.
