Oh wow! She is stunning!
Our surprise baby arrived at 6:20 yesterday morning - a 3/4 Thoroughbred, 1/4 QH filly by our late colt Glory’s Legacy.
Here is Morning Glory!
All of our babies this year were fillies!

Lottie has had her foal. :0) 3am this morning, another huge foal that needed a little help to pass the shoulders but mother and baby are doing fine. It’s another colt, liver chestnut that may turn grey.
Mum is an Irish Draught Sports horse called Stolen Silver (O’Sullivan RID x Top Star xx) and the sire is the wonderful Silvermoon (Trakehner)
Her colt is very uphill and strong. He has a sock on his right hind and front left, a star and a snip. I don’t have any photos as she waited till I had to go to the other end of the country for a few days before having him. I’m sure she did it on purpose LOL!
What a week… sinus infection and VERY busy time at work, added to TWO brand new fillies (mine and my best friend’s) born on the same day. I could sleep for a month! My little girl had a somewhat concerning start (posted separate thread about her ambivalence about nursing, and my mare’s ambivalence about her new daughter) but all is well now.
Yesterday was picture perfect weather-wise so mama and baby got some grass, sun and fun!

First foal this spring, buckskin solid Paint, three stockings, star, strip, snip, colt. Dam is buttermilk buckskin foundation bred QH mare sired by my perlino stallion and out of a sorrel mare (4 years ago)…Dry Doc, Mr Gunsmoke, lots of Leo and a bunch of King Ranch blood. Born on May 5 late evening…so a Cinco de Mayo baby.
Second foal, bay, solid Paint, filly, vertical star, lots of countershading including dorsal shadow, shoulder patches, secondary patches about half way up the neck and face masking. Dam is bay tovero sired by Lenas Sonny Boy (futurity and derby finalist, NRCHA leading sire at one point, syndicated for $1.5 million) and out of Doc N Willy, Docs Remedy, Cal Bar bred mare. Born at 5 pm (bless her) on May 9.
Sire of both is dark mahogany bay tobiano Paint, son of top 10 Snaffle Bit Futurity finalist Docs Gabilan (by Doc Bar)…sire of cutting, reined cowhorse and grandsire of world ch reining mare. Out of halter/reining sired black tobiano mare with second dam being 7/8 sister to QT Poco Streke, res world ch reiner, Congress ch, sire of world ch.

Our mare Royale Pal foaled a bay For Compliment colt last night. He has a face like his sires…not as tall as his brother by Ehrenpreis , but not as shy as he was. Ill get pics as soon as I go drink a quad latte…or two.
I’ve got photos of my new Silvermoon colt. He’s going to be called Stolen Silverlign as he is by Silvermoon out of Stolen Silver and on the night he was born 4 planets aligned for the first time in 100 years.
Here he is, liver chestnut at the moment but I think he will go grey.

Hi JB, yes he’s a full brother to the one I had (and sold) last year. That one has stayed chestnut (but he had baby blonde legs and pumpkin coloured skin round his eyes, this one has neither) and he’s also still entire. If he continues to be a good boy he will continue to be a stallion. Exciting!
This year’s colt is bigger and more confident and curious. I think he’s going to be feistier too as there’s a definite glint in his eyes. LOL! This one is a keeper as I can’t get any more Silvermoon semen since he moved studs which is such a shame. I’d have loved a filly but he’s such a nice colt I’ve forgiven him for being a boy.

It’s hard getting action video of him LOL I got more today, as he and Catnip were running laps around the boys :lol: But, I loaned my camera to my stepmom for a Tuesday night thing before I got the video downloaded, so it will be several days before I can the video. I tell ya, he was haulin’ ARSE! :eek:
silver - excellent. I remember being :eek: at the quality of that foal and hoped you’d repeat the cross :eek:
