My TB mare delivered a perfectly healthy black colt (by catherston dazzler) sometime last night (snuck it out without anyone knowing…so typical her!) He is absolutely lovely with some serious bone! If I can figure out how to upload a pic, I will.

Our 3rd of 5 has arrived! A fancy chestnut colt by Don Alfredo out of Legacy. He’s everything I ordered with just a few of the wrong parts…I was really hoping for a keeper filly!

Straight statistics…
7 foals in all, two out of QH mares (both solid colts, one buckskin, one bay), two solids out of heterozygous tobiano mares (both foals bays…one colt, one filly), two possible HZ tobianos (one black filly, one bay colt), one bay probably hetero filly. One loss (bay solid colt from QH mare…scoliosis and rear end weakness…OK once up with help but very difficult getting up on his own and finally just quit).
50/50 chance of solids on solid mares (stallion is hetero for tobi) and 25% chance of solids on hetero mares. Just my year I guess. Really nice performance pedigrees though so should make 3 awesome geldings out of the 4). Pretty heads, nice bodies, straight legs but for one that toes out slightly (smallest one and may straighten as she grows…will watch). All showing lots of curiousity and boldness. One is doing leaps over the sagebrush and flying lead changes zigzagging around them.
