Lily is 4 months old today. Where has the time gone?? She’s a solid 12.2 now, so she’s grown 12 inches since she was born! I can’t believe she was ever that small. Or that she was ever a nice solid bay :sadsmile:.
I think she’s already starting to go into the ugly baby phase with inspection less than a month away. :sigh:

Gizmo was 13h about 10 days ago, up from 10.1. 22 weeks tomorrow.

Juliet was just a hair under 13.1 today which means she grew not quite an inch since the last time I measured her on August 6th. Two weeks! My poor mare is nursing a yearling!
JB, I know, the little beast thinks it’s a race to go white. She probably can’t wait to start getting poo stains.
Laurie, that’s not too bad, for a while Lily was growing an inch a week! She’s finally slowing down. And look on the bright side, you won’t even have to wean Juliet, pretty soon she’ll just get too tall to nurse! I think that’s going to happen with Lily, lol.
Yep, Gizmo was growing 1"/week for a while too.
I keep thinking G must be too tall to nurse, it must be getting pretty damn uncomfy to crank that neck into that shape, but… shrug
He’s becoming nice and supple through his neck and poll. Just make sure he does it from both sides.
My 2011 filly went to her first breeder’s show on Saturday and brought home nothing but 1sts and 2nds (small classes, but still!). Sooo proud of her! She was such a good baby, very well-behaved and very relaxed in her portable stall with mom - was eating hay right away and drinking water within 10-15 minutes of arriving.

Interestingly my filly was REALLY tall at birth but is growing slowly - only 11.3hh at 2 and 3/4 months old. She may just be one who grows slowly and steadily until she’s 5, instead of shooting up for the first year and then slowing right down. We’ll see!

My Cielo B colt, Cielo Rosso, is now 5 months old and wowed the judges at his Oldenburg NA inspection. He scored 8.2 across the board and got great comments on his movement, conformation and type.
