I have not been super active on this forum; I’m not a breeder, I’ve never done this before, but I would love to announce my brand new 2011 filly!
She’s by Riddlers Revenge (95 TB, full brother to Early Flyer at Valor Farms) and out of my jumper Specks Sassy Chick (98 APHA).
We were hoping for color, but ended up with a fancy little chestnut that the first time momma delivered all by herself!
I had been at the barn until about 9 PM last night and the signs weren’t very strong - she’s had a bag for a couple weeks, liquid was still opaque, kind of a squishy rear, still tight through the tail bone, baby had shifted back but not up like it was in the birth position… we all thought she had 24-48 hours left before starting the sleeping at the barn.
I had myself a little worried because the stallion bred three mares this year - the other two foaled yesterday, March 24th (one AM one PM). Everyone and myself thought she wasn’t ready “but watch her fool us” (sarcastically).
Last night, I decided I was going to wake up early enough to make the 20 minute, opposite direction drive before work.
Well, what to my eyes should appear as I turned the corner to Sassy’s stall but her and a big chestnut foal standing at her side.
She’s been great - fiesty, active, and incredibly curious. Mom has taken to it very well too, after figuring out she can’t try to kick the baby when it goes to nurse.
Without further ado, here is the third and final filly born this year by Riddler’s Revenge - Harley Quinn (“Quinn” for short).

She’s the spitting image of dad so far. The other two are bay fillies - one will go gray, though, we think.
And, mom, for good measure.
So excited and thanking my lucky stars that everything went smoothly!
