How many super-moon babies were there? We had one, 12:25 AM.
How many super-moon babies were there?
Judy Yancey is reporting a “super moon” baby on her news page - a black filly by Hohenstein I out of her Fuerst Heinrich / Rubinstein I mare. Another 3rd generation foal from her breeding program…
The recipient mare in Holland delivered our embryo transfer baby late last week. It is a beautiful brown or dark bay colt by Dante Weltino out of my super sport mare SPS Royal Coeur (Royal Hit - Le Coeur - Romancier). It is apparently big, strong, with a little white star and two hind small socks. I will judge when I see it, but apparently also quite good moving. His name will probably be Dante Coeur.
The foals so far in Germany from the GOV reserve licensing champion Dante Weltino have been apparently very good, and all similarly marked. I expect he gets a lot more breedings once breeders see the quality.
We are just waiting for the Furstenball - Jazz Time - Latimer foal to come in Germany in late April or early May.
Had a “super moon” baby too last night in Germany. A long legged chestnut filly from Lord Carnaby (Lord Loxley). The mother is a St.Pr.St. Royal Hit x Fidermark x Ehrentusch mare.
Filly and mother are doing well. Strong and healthy! Best wishes for continued happy and easy foalings!
I was really hoping for a super moon baby! But alas, the Ublesco X Numero Uno foal has not yet arrived. Day 367.
Here is a video of our Zirocco Blue X Joy colt figuring out where to put his legs!
Zirocco Colt
And a few photos - I love taking foal pics!
367? faints Are you drinking yet?
No real pictures yet, just what I took with my phone last night (hubs left for work before I could get more of his, I think he got some pretty good ones) so these will have to do for now
Mom and baby
Sleeping
This is the only white on him
Passed out
And this one is right after he “woke up” and really started moving and Catnip looks a wee bit surprised at what’s there! The placenta is in the picture, warning just in case New foal
More pics later!

Soooo adorable! Is it just me or does he have super long legs?
The video of the Zirocco colt is so fun!! They seem to have 2 speeds at that age - full blast, and almost nothing LOL

He’s a curious cutie for sure!
Hey how come yours looks like he has full control of his legs!
Welcome “Clue”
I am thrilled to have a gorgeous Gray Filly born 3/21/11 at 8 p.m. Her barn name is Clue. She is by Ironman out of Mal’s Mystery. Ironman was 2007 USEF Champion Hunter Breeding Sire of the Year and Mystery is the dam of my 2009 MHSA 3 yr old Hunter Breeding Champion and USEF Zone 3 Hunter Breeding Reserve Champion.
This filly is just stunning, inside and out! She is playful, curious, and extremely healthy.
Nancy Maloney is a fantastic friend and stallion owner who sincerely cares about the foals that her stallion puts on the ground. Nancy has gone out of her way to be helpful and supportive, it is deeply appreciated.
I thought for sure we’d have at least one go over the ‘super moon’ weekend, but no, we were forced to wait a few more days. We had our first (of two) foals born this am, a filly, yay!
Dam is a purebred Connemara mare by Tre Awain Cavan O’Conner, and sire is the Connemara stallion, Moxley Duncan. We got just what we ordered, a buckskin filly! She’s very, very friendly and seems to be a strong/tough little girl. No name as of yet.
A couple pics posted on our homepage: www.brambleridgefarm.com more to come!

So very proud to announce the birth of my very first foal!!!
My dear TB mare Hope finally decided to go into labor at day 345 (3/22/11) just a few hours after JB’s mare Catnip who I had been watching on marestare!
I had tested Hope’s milk about 7pm and only got 3 squares on the Predict A Foal kit…less than 40% chance of foaling within 24 hours. She was mildly sweaty when I checked her about 12:30. Gave her some cookies and fluffed up her stall. Was about to go to bed a bit after 1am and watched her make a lap around the stall and lay down. Only thing that gave me pause is that she seemed even more sweaty on the stall cam. I watched a minute after she went down and it looked like she was pushing but the angle of the camera didn’t show her rear end. Walked outside to check about 1:15 and saw feet!!! Called the vet and tried my very best to stay calm. Everything was looking good. By 1:30 baby was out! Vet got there after I made sure little peanut was out of the sack and breathing.
Hope is an experienced ole gal and a WONDERFUL mother! Couldn’t have asked for a better first foaling.
Big filly is a DOLL…bay with very cool face markings (like mom) and 2 rear socks. Think she may grey out like dad.
Still trying to pick out a name! Had several cute boy names picked out but a girl name is stumping me!!
Saying hi to mom

@JenRose: Call her Reflection b/c she has her mama’s blaze backwards! She’s adorable. If not,
Faith?
Grace?
Alice?
Congrats!
JenRose them be some LOOONNNGGGG Legs! You’ve got to shoot some video of her on those stilts. I love the Reflection name.
Jen, she is absolutely darling!
Thanks Roxy Sm and JB - he’s been so much fun.
Congrats on the new babies.
Love that face JenRose
Luckily 367 days was as long as we had to go!
Here is our filly. TB by Demon Warlock out of Mystic Power, by Consigliere (GB)
(photos should be visible to all)
I have been working lots of overtime so I have had very little time to spend with them. Hoping that changes this weekend. Mare is getting a year off after having 3 very nice foals in a row for us.
I am really enjoying all of these baby pictures. They are all beautiful. Some of you are really talented photographers as well. Wow!
I must say also that the mares look fabulous, and that is nice to see.
Now, am I warped because I see a sperm on this little guy’s head?

I am leaning towards Copycat as a reg name (has to start with “C”) since her blaze is so much like mom’s. Also like Charm. Barn name will probably be Izzy.
LOL, Larkspur - I see the sperm too on the adorable Pacific Coast’s noggin.
