I had noticed a horse being pulled up, but couldn’t make out who it was.
Hope all is well with him.
They said Whitmore pulled up too.
Twitter says shagaf is ok, just tired and pulled up.
Can someone explain this: at the start of the race and for the first like 15 seconds, Nyqist jockey was only touching the colt’s sides with his ankles. Then he settled down and calves touched the sides. On the replay he was the only jockey I saw doing this. What was going on?
I loved Exaggerator’s run at the end. Great race. Congrats to Nyquist and connections.

He “had his feet on the dash” which means he was using his whole body to steady him until he got him into a stalking position.
