2016 Kentucky Derby & Oaks . . .

Moyahmen’s temperament has proven nothing but difficult on at Churchill. He has been training like a machine but he is also dragging his jockey around the track and giving him quite the hard time. I suspect the derby day hoopla to affect him and if he gets to the lead early on, he will tucker out by the stretch. I see great things from him in the future but not on derby day. He also seems to lose his will to run if hes stuck in traffic. In a 20 horse field it will be interesting

Exaggerator looks the part. He tens to run at the back of the pack but if he gets a clean break, watch out. He can cover some serious ground in the far turn.

Whitford: With his post position and his jockey choice, hard to count him out. He looks fresh and he looks ready.

Gun Runner: tough little horse. He has been training really hard. He is a very well built colt; truly like the look of him if he can break well and find a good position

Suddenbreakingnews: really like this one but due to the post position, I am worried.

Don’t let Mario Gutierez hear you say that about Nyquist - our local boy made good - he has the ride and has a good feeling…I’m pulling for him.

Not saying it’ll actually happen, but I’ve had this feeling that the horse nobody would expect to come close will be the one to win it this year.
Like it’s the underdogs Derby year.
Hmmmmm who knows, would make for a good byline LOL

Anyone have a link to live-stream the Oaks or Derby?
TIA!

I’m pulling for Creator after seeing him in Hot Springs.

About Sunday Silence’s temperament, I remember reading that he was known as “Sunday Stop It” around the barn, and the one time Bill Shoemaker galloped him, he refused to ride him again and told Whittingham to go back and get him broke.

They will be on TV if you can get in front of one.

Another Creator fan here. I will play around with some exactas and trifectas, using Creator, Nyquist and Exaggerator. It’s shaping up to be a good race - some nice colts!

So there is a possibility that Trojan Nation is going to be the Kentucky Derby winner? Last year’s winner had a misspelled name and now there is a chance that the winning colt has been named for a “birth control marketing idea.” What’s next?

You may check our local TV stations to see if they’re streaming online. I’m watching it live on WAVE 3 right now. Other stations are WLKY, WHAS, WDRB.

Derby will be live on NBC.

Oaks, I’ll be watching TVG which usually isn’t live but they typically delay-broadcast the race as soon as they’ve crossed the finish line live

I assumed Trojan nation was related to USC trojans, no?

Well I got a phone call to submit a name for a filly once and part of the conversation included “well I was watching a cialis commercial and …”

Huge run by Curlina in the La Trionne, she finally looked like the filly I thought she was going to be.

Thank you!
But I’ve not had my dish(TV) hooked-up since Zennata’s loss to Blame.

Well some ran as expected & others really didn’t show up for the race today.
Glad they all came through safe.

Congrats to Cathryn Sophia & her connections.

Now on to the Derby tomorrow.

Who the KY Oak???

Cathyrn Sophia

Is it going to be a fast track tomorrow? Kinda hoping for good or fair to give Exaggerator a better shot.
