Wonderful pictures!
The are a couple of nice Street Sense 2year olds in the F.T. Gulfstream sale. Also a Justify half to Tapwrit and some others with impressive pedigrees.
Hang in there @Texarkana!
Does she have a choice?
Day 314.
I ended up taking Bee (TB mare, in foal to On Ira) to Marion Dupont last night at my vets very strong recommendation. Bee has severe placentitis that isnāt responding to treatment at home. And is showing every indication of foaling within the next 48 hours with baby not headed the right way.
Update this morning was not great. Goal at this point is to save my mare. But miracles happen. Iām hoping the vets at the equine center are setting me up for worst case scenarios. Hearing success stories of foalings of mares with severe placentitis or foalings of pre-320 foals is giving me hope.
Oh no. Well placentitis does make the foal mature a little faster than normal so if you can get a little closer to 320 it may be ok. Jingles
Jingling for you, your mare and the foal!!
Major jingles for Bee and hopefully saving the foal. What a heartbreaking situation.
Hoping for best possible outcome for you!
Big FAT JINGLES for you, Bee, and Beeās baby.
I hope all goes well for you and your mare!
So many jingles for Bee and baby!!!
Jingles for Bee and babe. So sorry.
Hope Bee is doing okay!!! Jingles!!!
Over here in Mudland aka Kansas my Trak mare Aurelia NSF āGracieā (E.H. Windfall/Avignon II) is cooking up a full sibling well to my 2021 Premium filly After the Storm LSE āStormyā (E.H. Herzensdieb/E.H. Windfall). This yearās foal is available. Very excited again for this foal after the success of Tsetserleg TSF and Vandiver at Tokyo, Kentucky 5*, and both being entered in this yearās 5* at KY!
Nothing @skydy, you all will be among the first to know.
Iāve had a bad feeling about this all along, and going so long certainly isnāt helping that feeling. I feel terrible for dumping this on to my friend but am extremely grateful it hasnāt been me stressing every night.
Thanks for all the Jingles! They are starting to work.
Day 315. Bloodwork improved this morning. Discharge is starting to clear up. Sheās been on new antibiotics for 36 hours now. She is now showing some early signs of labor - up and down, restless, pawing. Sheās otherwise eating well - apparently actually eating her grain now that sheās feeling a bit better.
Plan for tomorrow, unless something happens otherwise, is to check on the kiddo again, see if the LS has turned around the right way yet. At the very least Bee seems to be improving.
