I think it’s helping them, legs look better positioned overall.

The literary geek in me loves the name Oscar’s Wild and Nemesis (an Agatha Christie Miss Marple novel).
Go Cecilia and Daniela!! This has been a pair I’ve loved watching, though they’ve had some unlucky moments in the past.
Shes having a good test so far.
I love them too. They’ve been together for so long. It’s beautiful to see such a seasoned partnership communicating so well with one another.
Man, two of my favorite mares back to back?? GO STARR WITNESS.
Ugh I just love Start Witness
She has a lovely outline which I think helps her scores because her rhythm isn’t as good as some others in her lateral movements.
Im so glad this horse left the hunter ring hahahaha
Yes, agreed. Admittedly, I can’t watch as closely as I’d like as I’m also trying to work. I did notice her rein back didn’t have clear diagonal steps, though relaxed as it was.
Star Witness - what a quality mare! Of course I love me some mares
She is now leading the pack with a 23!, Beautifully ridden, of course (what a partnership and I can’t wait to see them jump!) - but there were some tiny bobbles and inconsistencies and the test was not perfect - little “mare opinions“ were expressed here and there: responses to the leg, minor hesitations, active moments with the tail, etc., but apparently the judges were willing to “forgive“ that and give her very generous scores for a wonderful test overall! This leads me to believe that they were giving out 8s for the most part, either that or they were blinking during those little “moments“
Agreed the rein back was not great, the changes were though so I bet that helped a lot. This horse has only been eventing for a few years too. She could be something special. GO MARES
Love your little write up! Well said.
I think the changes count for a lot too overall in the balance of scored…I bet some were 8s at least.
There were actual several 9s and a 9.5 from the judge at B!
What movements…where did you see this? Would love to see
The 9.5 was the extended walk. Other 9s we’re for the medium walk, L to R change, and collective mark. If you click on the points on the live scoring page, a breakdown will pop up.
Thank you!!! Wow 9 on the collective from one judge. WTG Doug
Sweet!! I LOVE to see the “good stuff” rewarded
I’m always a sucker for a pretty shadbelly, and I love Skyler’s! The light blue accents look so lovely on a grey.
