More “carnage” today than I expected – more refusals and disheartened horses so far. I agree the horses seem unsure at times (some, of course not all).

I feel like we have seen so many more “sticky spots” this year and near disasters (but saved, thankfully!). Maybe it’s just me being a giant weeny though…

There hasn’t been a single horse fall, all the riders have gotten up and walked away, and there’s only been one lame horse. I’m not sure why this year is carnage?

Agree with this, especially considering the dreaded Hollow/coffin that caught so many horses (and riders) out; the 5* version seems more straightforward.
Was really rooting for Pippa to come in under the time, rats!

I agree. In the four star as well, sometimes it seemed like the horses were uncertain about where they were going or what was ahead of them. Which I realize is part of the sport, but I don’t recall having that sense of things before.

I think we’ve seen some hairy moments/RF/penalities from some of the top competitors. I personally was shocked to hear Doug had penalties on course

He did fall but my stream is glitching too so I’m not sure what happened after that
I think they’re having livestream issues. Emporium fell - we had to watch it twice. Are they ok?
