2022 Kentucky Three Day Event

The halfpass having a 3 doesn’t surprise me - he had a conscientious objection to the movement.

Still a lovely test otherwise.

This horse is stunning.

Carmango twinged or something while trotting during the first half of the test. It was just one weird bad step? What a lovely horse. EDIT: it was right after the rein back.

Seriously! Lovely walk! Re: the reinback thread, I thought this one was pretty good. Got a little short in the neck but not rushy and with clear diagonal steps and a good move-off.

Dan Kreitl on Carmango for those not watching. Well ridden, Dan!

Agreed! Love the view for the rein back today too hhahaha

His aids were spot on for the rein back. This was a gorgeous ride.

Huge cheers in the crowd for Dan Kreitl and Carmango. What a lovely horse and great ride. I liked his canter transitions the most, the transitions were so uphill and elegant with an open throatlatch and good impulsion.

As a rider I actually like that because a bobble in one movement doesn’t hurt your score as much.

Uphill was exactly my thoughts. The entire test, his half halts everything were upward and forward thinking. Just lovely.

Colleen is having a lovely test also

Dan Kreitl started eventing in 2008 and decided Landrover was his goal.

Wow. Might just quit eventing myself now hahaha

Another Canadian coming up Dana Cooke…this could be a good test. :canada: :canada:

“I came here to watch live in 2008 and decided that was my goal. I’d never evented before”

:open_mouth:

I went in 2013 and 2014…still not there competing

Is Mississippi huge, or is the rider small? (S)he looks like (s)he’s got dinner plate sized feet lol

She’s 16.2

Just gigantic feet then. Nice ride!

According to the stats on the Kentucky site (click the rider number beside their name), he’s 16.1.

He does look dull to the leg/stiff/heavy/hard to bend. She had that spur on hard through several of the movements.

ETA - she
