2022 Maryland 5* at Fair Hill

I heard she was overheard saying “it’s just frog pain” as she turned to Duvander. Then blamed it on the camera in the way…

He seems to have ongoing foot issues. I think that horse could use some solid time off to grow some foot possibly?

Anyone know if they have emailed the folks going on the Ride IQ course walk tomorrow yet? I signed up, but haven’t heard anything. Don’t know if that means I didn’t make it on the list or if they still haven’t sent out the info…

I have the livestream on in the background. Quite randomly, I always feel so badly for riders who have the unfortunate experience of it coming down buckets during their particular dressage tests/ cross-country rides.

Looks like the En article says you will receive an email no later than Friday morning but expect the afternoon;

Yes, thank you! I just don’t know if I got a spot. I RSVP’d but never saw a confirmation. After you submit the form it just tells you the same thing as the article: you will get an email by Friday and the walk will probably be in the afternoon if you are on the list.

I think this may be the only public course walk. Am I wrong on that?

I’m watching too and thought the same thing. Coverage is good though and it’s wonderful it’s free.

Nice and crackly though it is with rain in the background! Looks like the horses are requiring some tactful management.

According to Maryland Five-Star’s Instagram, there is an 11 AM Friday course walk with Liz Halliday-Sharp.

Thanks! I missed that!

Very disappointed I can’t watch the 5* dressage today. I might catch the end. Tomorrow is a crapshoot whether I’ll get to watch. I’m watching the 3* this morning, still fun!

Ok I lied, Charlotte stayed home today, she has a tummy ache. We are here braving the elements though so please stop by anyway.

That was a lovely ride by Will Coleman on Cold Red Rum.

I’m so sorry if this has been asked, but where is it broadcasting?? For sure want to watch in between work tasks

Here are the viewing options:

You can sign up for a USEF guest membership to watch on their site. That’s where I’m watching and John Kyle is commentating with guests (right now it’s Elisa Wallace).

five year olds …did that get rescheduled? there are no results showing up. it looked like it was scheduled for this morning. the four year old results are up.

With only 25 horses entered, why was 5* dressage run over two days? Other competitions (Burghley, Pau etc) split the days because of large numbers of entries but it is, theoretically, supposed to be a “three day event”.

My theory is that it’s a way to get more spectators out on Thursday.

They have contracts with the dressage judges and officials.
