Which fences are you referring to?
One of the medal finals in recent years had jumps like 6/7/8. It was really messy: horses getting yanked left and right. It will be interesting to see how this rides. It looks more like a gotcha compared to the rest of the course, which is so flowing.
I donāt see how that list could possibly be right. Didnāt Ella Witt have a refusal at the first jump in the first round?
Unless Iām thinking of the wrong person.
I think itās another typo and probably Ella Cate Duke.
Itās hard to tell this for sure from the angle of COTHās photo, but it doesnāt look like a terrible gimmick- itās basically a figure eight, starting from the rail instead of from the center point. It asks, can you gallop up, collect and balance, and then gallop up again.
6-7-8. I guess this is round 2 so a trot fence is less likely but seems a really weird trappy line.
Just watched Clara Propp and weāve gone from 2 skinnies to 3, and you keep having to change the angle to make room - idk itās not my favorite course.
Bummer for Clara. I thought she rode with a lot of composure and precision in the first round, and it looks like nerves might have gotten the better of her.
I think it should be Kate Hagerty (thatās what the Chronicle list had and would make more sense).
Sally Ives! GIT 'ER DONE, girlfriend! Way to ride up from 24th- throw down that gauntlet and make everyone else a little nervous.
Sally Ives: nice riding!! Impressive!
Horse Flight has always been Emilās companyāhe founded it with Bastian Schroeder, then they split and Bastian runs EquiJet.
Does Luke Jensen speak another language natively? I am trying to place his accent.
Itās called Texan. (I can say that 'cause Iām from there.)
I always enjoy watching Kate Hagerty ride. She is so workmanlike.
Kate Hagerty just showed us what they were looking forā¦as long as they donāt consider the 8 an add
Gorgeous round from Kate Hagerty. This was the horse that Brian Feigus placed well on at derby finals this yearāitās first show after import.
Its funny, that horse was my favorite one in the first round of Derby finals
These early riders are really going for it! Nice ride by Alexandra Ryden. Very classic position and so in tune with her horse.
It didnāt strike me as Southern. It seemed like it had an edge of a Nordic language to me, but then again, Iām born and bred in New England.
Ohhhh, and I was just going to say how lucky this girl is to be on Clover. Not a day to play, but she had a brilliant first round.
