2024 Maclay Final Thread

I stepped away a couple times, so it’s definitely possible. The standby after 135 shows 3 eliminations.

The dark horse who was such a pig, standing up and turning around and giving not one single hoot what anyone thought because he was outta there. Excused before they even really presented to the first fence because the horse refused to present.

I really don’t like it when they stand up.

Waiting for the standby!

Having been flipped on a couple times, it’s a no-go for me. I am too old for those kinds of shenanigans.

An infant is too old for that kind of behavior.

You can pop up in front and put your feet right back down if you want to get your point across, but a hi-ho silver F You I’m Staying Up Here Until You Stop Asking is a different matter.

JJ’s rail and swap were enough to keep him out. Can’t have 'em all in one year!

Group 3 implies the leaders, so I’m psyched to see Brooke Hagerty in there! And Gabriella Curry in Group 2.

Anyone else lost audio? JK, it’s back.

Yes. It just kicked in again.

Seeing the judges numerical scores is fascinating… and that’s all I’m going to say :zipper_mouth_face:

Interesting to see younger sister ahead of older sister (Hagerty girls). I’m a bit disappointed that JJ didn’t make the cut.

Taylor Cawley is still on top of the standby, so those flat groups are a little deceptive as far as the order of preference goes.

Looking at the final 1st round standings, looks like 5 did not complete along with the 2 scratches.

Sounds about right. Only one fall, and four that did not get around the course.

Definitely a much lower number than in several previous years.

He might have gotten into the flat phase with either the rail or the swap. Not both.

Guessing they’re listed as top score to low score in each group.

It looks like they are leaving some jumps in the ring for the flat phase. But it’s a pretty big ring, so I guess with only eight kids in each group, they should be able to manage it.

Yes, exactly.

It is a big ring, but they’re seem to be leaving in way more jumps than I would think. You want to make sure the judges have visibility over those giant standards and decor too.

Round 2 course is already up!
