How is that allowed? I feel like there’d be riots at Kentucky!!

Such great commentating from both!! :grinning:

I don’t know, but since no one was allowed on the course yesterday, I suspect, it has to do with where the xc is located. still not a good thing. It is right in the galloping lane!

I think I’ve seen the jump judges standing around them - maybe they’re part of the jump judging setup? Definitely never seen that before though.

Yes, looks like jump judges are recording their jumps.

Huge home crowd cheer for the first French rider on course!

It’s for the skinny questions - FEI rule in case there is a protest about making it through the flags. But agree the placement is bad!

Loving the French crowd losing it for their rider!

Oof, to make both Jon and Lucinda shout means it’s pretty scary.

The LA jump is getting tricky!

Blimey a few hairy moments at once there…

I think the horse just saw a long stride

I hope the riders respect the last 2 fences, gives me WEG 2010 vibes when several fell at the last fence!

It’s very upright and riders see the finish in sight. So they’re taking risks there where maybe they shouldn’t.

Yikes! A bit too bold, left a stride out to the penultimate fence. Lucky it worked out.

I have seen 3 riders have that flag down in the woods. (French rider.)

Giving the Spanish a cheer here… thought his test was very nice yesterday. And I love Spain :es:

At this level the skinnies are really skinny and the flags are just held on with flexible plastic so they pop right out. Annoying for the jump judge but definitely the safest way to do it. Depending on the angle jumped and how wide your horse is they are super easy to knock.
