2024 Olympics - Eventing

I just love Caspian, what talent!!

A little bit of an overachiever over the fence- dwells in the air just a hair. Which also means those feet are staying quite well clear of trouble. He really is lovely.

Speaking of the jump design, can anyone tell what fence 10 is? There’s a woman on one side and what looks like a hen on the other.

agreed, but I would not want to ride him.

must take quite some skill to contain that enthusiasm

did commentator say she is the daughter of the dentist who won eventing gold 3 or 4 olympics ago?

Wow Kazuma what a ride :star_struck:

I agree. If you swap out a horse at any point, you should be out of medal contention

Oh, thank you! I was hoping there would be a design sheet again but I hadn’t found it yet.

I think so! It was fun to watch him, being a true amateur amongst so many pros.

I feel like he usually gives the fences a bit more room, hopefully he has enough in the tank to jump a good 2nd round at 1.30m.

Goodness, what a shame for Switzerland. (Still sitting over here waving my metaphorical Japanese flag, so that part is exciting.)

live scores no longer updating ??

nothing since the NZ rider about 5 riders ago

Same here. No more screen graphics with penalties and time either!

JL Dublin makes that look like Pony Club. What a brilliant horse and so well ridden.

you know, I just praised the scoring up thread a bit. I probably jinxed it!

frustrating - it is nice to follow team scores and the top 25 individual qualifiers.

I think US may have moved up to 4th after some rails by NZ and SWI 2nd riders

I noticed that! I have been going back and forth with closed caption, and when I shut it off, the scoring in the corner disappeared.

Oh mine is back now!

I am so nervous for Boyd!!! Sending all the good vibes

We did sneak up over NZ but I think SWI is still ahead- that was 12 faults by the second pair, right? That would put them on 123.2 and US is on 133.something.

I adore Shadow Man too! The video Ben posted of him watching their test was so sweet. How cool to produce a horse and see him excel on the world stage, even if it’s with another rider.
