I’m not glad others are having trouble with the stream.
But I’m relieved that it’s not just me with some unresolved technical problem that I can’t figure out.
So there’s that, anyway.

Emma Hakim unfortunately gets to 4AB on the half stride, with her horse’s eye maybe somewhere else, and comes off at the stop. Rider walks off sound but stiff. Bummer! Looks like she got a bit tangled in the rails, so I hope she’s OK.
I think she straddled the gate, too, which made me wince.
When it comes to CMH, it’s never just you.
I think the only reason mine is working fine is likely that our internet connection is sufficient for me to work from home while my husband simultaneously streams hockey, football, and golf.
Thanks for the very kind offer. I’m hoping I will be able to watch the replay afterwards, so I’m sort of trying to avoid spoilers.
I’m still checking the thread periodically to see if anyone reports that the stream has miraculously improved, but that has not happened yet.
I feel you - CMH is miraculously working for me today, which only slightly makes up for all the times I couldn’t get in or got stuck in the authentication loop or got in and it was nothing but freezing and buffering - even when I paid for it for a year because I forgot to cancel the free trial.
Oh, that is the worst!!
Years and years ago, that happened to me with one of the horse related streaming services. It’s so long ago by now that I don’t recall if it was Clip My Horse or a different one.
But I remembered to cancel the service, and was unable to figure out how to do it on the website by the deadline.
Luckily for me, and strictly by happenstance, I had used a credit card that expired a few months after that. Otherwise I would probably still be paying for a streaming service that did not work to this day. Lol.
The commentators are currently discussing that if you don’t start off the course well, you’re a bit up a creek for the rest of it. I don’t care for that in a Medal Finals course. I think the Maclay courses can get away with that a bit more because the regionals structure prepares riders better for what they would see at finals, but in the Medal it’s another story. I appreciate a course that gives riders some points on course to regroup and fix their problems. I don’t think this course has enough regroup moments available in the right places.
Katia Holmes’ sweet chestnut horse walked out looking sore on the left hind and I hope he feels better in the morning.
I wish CMH’s FAQs or site directly better addressed these common frustrations. There are things that are fairly on them and things that aren’t.
Watch out around the holidays to see if there’s a deal. I was offered half-price and took it. Setting up my payment method was glitchy (of course) but they sorted it. I’ve been paying around $10/month for maybe 2 years now.
Taylor Landstrom gets us out of a rough patch in the order! Quite a nice trip, well-measured. Swaps at 11.
For a while there a lot of the horses were looking a little feral, getting sent up the first line on a purposeful or brisk stride and then locking the jaw in the turn, and there was variable success in doing the flatwork in the turn to fix that problem ahead of the next jump. There have also been a fair number of horses disconnected from the contact with their heads up against the martingales in the turn.
Dug my dinosaur laptop out of storage, plugged it in and said a prayer. Apparently the last time I used it was for the 2023 Hunter Spectacular because this was somehow still open when it powered on.
Knocking on all the wood because CMH… but so far the stream seems to be working.
If anyone finds a device, it isn’t constant buffering please post. I have yet to see a full trip. Ironically, this is the worst CMH has been in a year and a half. Getting ready to throw in the towel.
Watch! The drag will be perfect!
Chloe Fares took a spill unfortunately… she’s up and walking out but looked like a hard landing.
Livia Martin’s horse looks young and green, but like a diamond in the rough. Beautiful jumper with plenty of scope and a big lopey stride.
Wait! What? We are back to walking the course? Anyone else?
Click on the screen to pull up the play bar, then hit the Live button.
Elizabeth Rinehart just kinda broke my heart. I’ve loved watching her the last few years- she’s such a deliberate rider. Scrambled the lead change after 2 and got a little long to 12. And everything in between was just brilliant. I think the best ride up to and through the 7.
I’ll be curious to see what the judges think of Liv Sweetnam’s round. She’s a beautiful rider and Efendi is a class horse. Looked to my Smurf eye like there were a couple moments where her half halts really danced on the line of trotting a step behind.
