He is cute as a button. Freaking adorable. I’m so thrilled he’s thriving.
He has the most endearing expression.
What a lil darling.
He’s so huggable
Glad he’s thriving.
he is like if a cuddly teddy bear decided to become a baby horse
Sydney is an obnoxious brat with adult horses - she can even cross the line to bully status from time to time with anyone other than her mother. But she is just the best foal babysitter.

I hope this means she’s going to be a great mom when it’s finally her turn next year!
Rina is about 3 1/2 months old now. Sadly her mom had a terrible colic about three weeks ago and didn’t survive. Fortunately, Rina is very chill and has her Aunt Creampuff to look after her.

Oh, no. I am so sorry for your loss! But I’m glad that Creampuff stepped in and is making sure Rina still gets the love and supervision she needs.
I’m sorry. Losing a mare is so difficult.
He is so stinkin’ cute! Momma doesn’t even care that he’s away from her. I love your videos!
Firefly is finally done with his stall and small paddock rest. He managed surprisingly well but its been so hot I think they didn’t mind standing around all day. Pictures from today’s zoomies.
Oh! He has a noble head!
What is his breeding again? I’ve tried to go back on the thread to find it without success so far, so thought it would be easier to ask.
He’s out of my foxtrotter mare crossed with a spotted saddle/racking horse. He has a really nice gait already as well as a good trot and canter. I prefer a horse that can gait and still have a quality canter.
Here’s a picture of the stallion he is out of
Every broodmare herd needs a Sydney.

Sorry for all the Patriot spam, but he’s just so camera-friendly. At 3.5 weeks old, he has unfolded beautifully. He is not a huge fan of the halter, but we have mastered putting it on and off in the pasture with minimal drama.
Patriot is one month old today! He is turning into the little tank that his pedigree predicted he would be.
He’s adorable!!
What’s going on with Sydney and Arielle? It’s early and i am tired and i’ve forgotten who’s in foal, who’s not, etc…
Sydney is a little over 3 months in foal to Major Mac V. At her 65 day ultrasound, the fetus was in the perfect position for us to be about 90% sure she’s carrying a colt.
Arielle’s ET attempt failed due to all the inflammation and fluid she keeps developing in her uterus despite all of our “throw the kitchen sink at her” attempts this year. The only option left for her would be ICSI, which is just not on the table at this point in time. But, I’m still having a blast riding her. Our next show is August 8-10, and it looks like she’ll be making her herd work debut with my trainer in addition to doing the horsemanship, ranch riding, and reining with me. I’d clone this little mare if I could; she’s just wonderful.
Ahh, so sorry to hear about Arielle. Fingers n toes crossed everything continues to go smoothly for Sydney this time around!
I love seeing new foal pics here, even when “foaling season” is mostly over. Here’s one of our TB filly “Dibs”.
