I have posted your information on the other pony sites…Maybe we can get an answer.
I’m in Texas, and not sure what I can do to help, but I’ll do whatever I can to help. Any other welsh people out there that could help get a person/trailer at this auction to get the ponies?
Beth
Bump!
Keeping this active and on the front page. I would love to hear if/when anyone saves these ponies!
It’s a tough week for ponies out there.
We also have a dispersal sale going on in our area today. Lots of lovely bloodlines that need to go due to a crisis in the family. I hear there are some beautiful ponies that just need some TLC to bring them up to show condition.
This is NOT an ESTATE or SIEZURE Sale… It is a Divorce COURT ORDERED Disperal Sale.
I wish I’d seen this earlier, it’s in 4 hours now

No, it is Saturday.
I thought the OP said it was on Saturday?
Holly, are you going?

I will go if someone will go with me. I’m not going by myself and DH is not going.
I don’t know why they were seized. The auctioneer said that they were seized. I have no reason to believe that this is not true. My only interest is that the KB will be there. I stood next to them yesterday at the hay auction and listened to them discuss their plans. They do NOT buy unbroke horses to turn over. You know where they are going if they buy them. I don’t know that there is a lot of market for a bunch of unbroke ponies without papers, so I want to make sure that someone knows who may be interested in a nice project. I was PM’d that these bloodlines are 20 years out of fashon for the hunter breeding types, so I am putting this on in hopes that they get potential riding and not breeding homes.
If I were anywhere near you, I would go with you in a heartbeat. I hope the ponies find good homes.
I live 2 hours away, have a big trailer & empty stalls. I’ve never been to the Manchester auction - what can you tell me that I should know?
IHF, I am in the immediate area, and my trainer’s barn is in Manchester.
I will be at a horse trial (Cobblestone) all day, but would be willing to go afterward if there is some way I can help. Also, if I can get some concrete information, I will talk to our BO and my trainer to see what we can do about spreading the word, and find out if we can help people need a short-term boarding situation prior to pick-up. I’ve PMed you but not sure it went through.
I forwarded a link to this to some of my MI horsey friends. Crossing fingers that they all find good homes.
It killed me looking at the Ontario auction site and seeing that they’ll take care of all the paperwork to get them across the border, and even trailer them to Lewiston for $200… and Lewiston is only a few minutes away from where I board… not that I need another board payment…
Um, so if anyone happens to pick up a pony at the Ontario auction and needs someplace to keep it, or wants to split a project pony with a very small adult rider who loves ponies, PM me. d;

I don’t know anything about an Ontario auction…who hijacked my thread?
Iron Horse Farm - okay, now I’m totally confused - when is this auction, what can we who are far away do, and what’s the deal with Ontario?

ok, auction of 26 Welsh ponies is Sat July 18th in Manchester, Mi.
THis is 39 miles N of me. I will be happyto go (but don’t want to go alone). If anyone wants me to bid for them, the prices are likely to be ridiculous (like, well under $100). Please let me know if anyone wants to go along or bid through me long distance.
I know nothing of Ontario.

and unfortunately, this one CLLYNNCOPA STUD takes place tomorrow
and there was a discussion on this thread

I am very worried for these ponies as the kbs will be in attendance.[/QUOTE]
This is the Ontario one, happening right now. ): Stinks that there are desperate ponies all over… hoping for the best outcome for all.
Wow!
Hey guys- I live in Manchester! This is the first that I’ve heard of this. I actually have spoken to the woman in question on several occasions - I had NO idea this was going on. I’ve never been to her place though she has on occasion asked me if she could hang some sale flyers at my barn.
I live 5 minutes from United Producers in Manchester, though I will be at a show on Saturday. It is a very reputable place and the auctioneer is a really nice guy. If anyone needs directions feel free to PM me. Like I said I have a show that weekend and I’m pretty busy but I can try and help
I actually wanted to add (though I feel weird doing so) that my name is also Allison (the same as the woman who’s estate is being auctioned) and I’m at Far Gone Farm. Manchester’s a small place (ungodly small really, which is why I wanted to clarify). If anyone needs any more info about the area, just PM me I can put you in touch with great vets and the like.
