Heck, I’m only about 4 hours away and there’s a collection of antique wagons for sale in Victor I’d like to check out… Not that I need any more horse-drawn vehicles, have money for more horse-drawn vehicles, or anywhere to put more horse-drawn vehicles.

If you’re up to it, that would be great if someone could check him out.

That’s probably exactly what he’s expecting.

Good grief, it’s almost like a hostage ransom negotiation.

Maybe someone should demand proof of life first. “Send me a photo of Pete holding today’s newspaper in his mouth before I Venmo money.”

I’d also chip in for gas and a diner lunch. :+1:

someone needs to make him aware that Pete is not some package item off the shelves at Amazon which is a known quality. For all we know he has slipper feet, EPM and missing teeth

"Not allowing trial " perhaps means take him to your home barn for a week trial?

Dealing with someone ignorant, along with being a liar and terrible communicator.

Pete: “I did this already. Why do I have to wear a saddle again?”

I’ll pitch in!

At least he’s looking better than when he was with Cyril.

I’d be happy to dribble as well if someone is really interested in getting him home or to a trusted 501c3!

I cringed when I saw there were photos but he actually looks much better than i expected.

Amazing what NOT having to walk for miles in ill-fitted pack gear & get fed crap can do to a horse’s condition
Bless the good-hearted soul who’s had his care since the Great Adventure fizzled. :sparkling_heart:

I nearly fell over! Pete looks great for what he has been through. He’s not perfect, but golly!! He was banging on death’s door in August.

The person that has him is a saint.

Wow. What an improvement.

For some reason I always thought he was a chestnut, must have been his crappy condition that dulled his coat. He looks fabulous! I wonder if he’d be up for a light trail ride now and again? He certainly looks much happier here.

Pete’s what, at least 22 years old? For an aged horse to look that good in a Montana winter—good job. Decent looking saddle too unlike that sorry thing Cereal was using.

I bet he would!
For an aged - 20+ - QH, he’s looking good.
@Spudsmyguy I hope you can bring him home.:crossed_fingers:
