There is something about her that does not feel right with me. I have not been able to put my finger on it.

I agree

I think that all three of Paint_Party’s options will, ultimately, end up at a sales barn. Positives: Falcon is very flashy-colored and well-broke, Pete is likely to be very cheap.

He will also be able to spot at an auction if that is the route he goes. it would be hard to hide him.

Pete on the other hand is a dime a dozen bay quarter horse. I would take him in a heartbeat.

Agree, her overly made-up (those lashes!) appearance puts me off a bit.
But at least in the beginning, she seemed to have good info on Asswipe’s doings

I think that at least she built a network that watched him.

Honestly, he can get thousands for either of those horses. Not 60 thousands but our horse market is high and people would buy them. I think he will just sell them to word of mouth people when the snow flies. There are auctions coming up but his paperwork isn’t in order for MT and I think he is out of sight out of mind with them; I hope and think and HOPE they will land in a good place.

I find it interesting that he seems to have trouble keeping roommates around long-term. Not surprising, but interesting.

In one of the roommate ads (I think from when he was looking for shared housing) he included a photo of himself with a Playboy magazine and a huge bottle of liquor, so I can only imagine what he’s like to have as a roommate.

Yeah, I had the joy of stumbling upon that photo, too. Tells you pretty much all you need to know about him. Oof.

I just finished this whole thread… but if this guy hadn’t outed himself as a poser/loser already, this would have done it. ā€œMy 50mi ultramarathonā€ NO ONE in the ultra community would talk like that. That’s like saying ā€œI ride showjumpingā€, lol

$hitforbrains has been approved to have his hearing via Zoom on the 12 of Sept.

I wonder which tactic he’ll use first in uttering his defense: misplaced smarmy charm or whining like a little boy.

I think he is going to abandon the horses, why would he not want to take new pictures for his sales ads or see how Falcon and Pete are doing. I get, being out of the state and wanting to do a zoom meeting, but dude, you have $60K+ in horse flesh up there, don’t you want to see them?

I know I am viewing this through a lense of a caring animal lover and that is what I would do, but we all know Moochalong does not have a heart.

We keep assuming that he’s charming his way into people’s pocketbooks, homes, and ranches. But, you know, I think that people give him all that they do just because they feel sorry for him. Plus, of course, to help the animals. Not one of the posts I’ve seen shows him showing an iota of charm, or has someone else being charmed or considering him attractive.

I’m assuming that he’s not actively soliciting help, people just see his asinine helplessness and how it hurts the horses and jump in to save the day.

I suspect that if he traveled sans horses, he’d be in jail or a ditch somewhere, buzzard breakfast.

I wonder if the more curt and uncaring he comes across, the more likely it is that someone will ā€˜help the horses’. The good helper thinking that if they don’t do this, the horses won’t fare well with just him.

But I don’t know how that kind of grifting works, really.

You’re probably right on this. Without the horses, he was just another doofus drifter looking to find himself or prove his manhood or some other stupid personal goal as he traipsed across the American West.

But I do believe he thinks he’s charming. And damn sexy. ( )

Yup. He proved his manhood to me. :face_vomiting:
