Not only a lucky daughter but also a lucky horse!!! Your daughter is a lovely rider and I am sure they will do exceptionally well together!!!
Take your time with him and don’t push him. It simply takes several years to train a horse up the levels!!

Dodge was lame last week. No heat in the hoof, no wounds or swelling. So probably an abscess. We were pretty wet a couple of weeks ago.
Hubby said he would lift one of his back legs to be trimmed. He was limping when I saw him, no weight on the hoof.
The next morning weight on the hoof while eating still limping.
The next morning walking a bit quicker.
It is now a week later and I watched him scoot around Sim to come for tea. He is walking fine.
