Doesn’t that website scare the crap out of potential customers? Who actually buys horses from these people? Yikes.

Does anyone know this place or who’s running it? And what drugs they’re on? I think everyone’s right about being a PMU broker. Does anyone else get the impression that this is like a puppy mill for horses?
Who would buy horses from these people? No sane horseperson I know…
I have never seen so much arrogance in one place in my life… It amazes me that people like that are able to stay in business, but I guess for every arrogant &#$(@ there’s an idiot somewhere to go along with them.
And, hey, if your horse doesn’t live up to your expectations, they’ll help you sell him off to the killers!
LOL, I’m still trying to get over the PMU flat hopping crossrails as a 4’ jumper and grand prix prospect for $18k.
Soooo, you have to be thin and stupid and gullible and not mind a beat up, underweight, might be accidentally bred draft cross who doesn’t care about buying a horse sight unseen, paying to even consider buying their horse, not want a vetting and not mind if they need to liquidate their product in order to be a customer? I think I’d shoot myself if I was listed as a previous customer…very few reputations could survive a slaughtering of that magnitude.
Anyone notice the list of satisfied customers has no mention of any contact info for them? As if they don’t want anyone contacting for referrences?
Sneekers that’s exactly what it sounds like.
And their terminology “product”, “liquidation”, etc. makes my skin crawl.
Puppy mill for horses, yes, exactly…
WHY ON EARTH is this horse jumping 4’ after 120 days of training???
And if he IS jumping 4’ why is he jumping nothing over 18" or so in the pictures?
Look at the “customer comment” page. No full names listed, and some of the photos seem to be same horse/different “owner”. Sheet, I could make a site up and put all my friends on there and give them names and write whatever I wanted!
Arrogant, shady, scammy, scum horse traders. Blech. (insert vomiting here)
Liz Booth is the name they have on the purchase contract as being the seller.
it says: This horse was added to our catalog on Tuesday 29 June, 2004.
two years later, do we think he is still alive and kicking or did they ship him off?
I keep waiting for the owners to chime in here and say that what they’re doing is all for the horses and to save these horses from being shipped to slaughter and that they don’t make ANY money off of this…barely pay all the expenses, yadda yadda yadda…
luvmytbs, I’m sure the “product” has been “liquidated” by now…
Nuh-uh CE, they’re in it to make money, as they so clearly state on their website.
I won’t rehash the astonishing details that others have already mentioned, but here is another great little tidbit:
On them helping you find an appropriate horse:
“For example… if you are a 40 year old woman returning to riding after having had children, now pushing 300lbs, and you evented as a 20 yr old, but not since, it is not really fair to take up more of our time in the sales process finding a trail/lesson horse for you that you hope will someday be your upper level event horse…”
Edit: Whoops! I read the site and then posted and there were 2 more pages up! I agree with moonriver. Soneone needs to defent thes people so I can tear them apart!
C’mon. Somebody come defend these people. I am sharpening my machete as I type. And after reading this sad crap, I need a good laugh.
Ha ha ha. That’s the funniest thing I have ever heard. My first pony was $500. My second pony was $425. Sorry, but I wouldn’t pay $1 to look at a horse.
That is exactly what I thought of. Sounds just like all the skeezy puppy mills we have down in Miami. Stollen puppies, over bred bitches, severely unhealthy dogs…its just sick!
These people are awful! Who actually buys a horse from these people!
Oh yeah, apparently someone looking for their next Grand Prix jumper for 18k that can deer hop over a cross rail. RRRRIIIIGGGHHHT!
Ohmigawd, they’re saving them from slaughter - how could you question the motives of these selfless pple!!!111!!?
That’s all I got. But it tempts me to think about making a parody website. If I had time to burn.
I didn’t even notice when he was added:no: Hopefully since he’s still on the site he’s still “around”.
Please everyone, send her your comments on “Contact Us” on the site. Let’s see what she has to say. It would spice up this thread!
RE: their “THEFT OF WORK PRODUCT AND BUSINESS INTERFERENCE” policy…does anyone know if there’s any legal basis for this? Unless there’s an exclusive contract between them and their “suppliers”, I don’t see how this isn’t just made up legalese.
I guess I should just be reassured that they “are honest and ethical business professionals”.
I simply cannot beleive any of this! SURELY it is a bad joke!
