Amish broke makes him premium now…

Um, since when do breeders accept PayPal? That’s a new one to me!!! “Pony Mill” seems to be dead-on.

Edited to add: Truculent Schuylar* - 16.3H Irish-bred TB

What the H-double-hockey-sticks is going on with that “stallions” legs? Nothing about that horse spells TB unless he’s ANCIENT. Also, they PhotoShopped him into the background. Look at his feet.

Actually some people did sign their FULL names:eek: and one lady made this comment
“I enjoyed “cruising” your website and have forwarded the URL to a few friends that may be in the market for a new/additional horses”

Check this out:

what do they mean:
"Tuesday is priced to sell as a light riding horse or broodmare. She has been EXPOSED to Tullymor’s Ned Devine for an 06 TB/Connemara cross.
This is a great mare for someone who wants a nice horse to trail ride, occasionally show and one day produce a super baby… "

you mean one of their stallions got out by accident again?

Ummm…I’ve got to admit, I’m hearing about more & more people going the PayPal route because of the increase in problems with fake cashiers checks and money orders. It’s just about instantaneous, you can buy insurance on the transaction for pretty cheap, etc. Cash is always better of course, but I do know quite a few people who have bought/sold horses the last year or two and used PayPal to do it.

I do agree this sounds pretty puppy-mill like though.

I can’t stop laughing at this, doesn’t this have to do with being sensitive to metals? Earrings come to mind when I hear the word hypoallergenic…

I stand corrected! You really do learn something new everyday. The age of the internet!

Or, maybe send the link to this thread. CoTH people do have some clout in the horse world. Maybe the proprietors will rethink their “evil ways” or the sheer stupidity of their “policies”.

I don’t know, everything about this site, the language, the pictures, just everything gives me major creeps! I’m sure tonight I’ll be dreaming about all of these horses standing in a dirt lot begging for me to take them home…

This whole thing just leaves me at a loss…I truly do NOT understand how they can possibly do business, much less be anything that approaches successful with the “marketing philosophy” they have. But then I’m not an uber-wealthy entrepreneur, I’m poor, I own a horse, what do I know…

This is very twisted…

Idle ? here…

What is a “Hypoallergenic Warmblood”???

TIA!

In this case, BOTH terms mean" we don’t know WHAt the heck her breeding is, but she’s big and has a belly spot."

I’m not sure if someone else has already guessed this, since I haven’t read every post, but I’m guessing the $500. deposit, is so that they can actually buy the horse you’re interested in. I’d also suggest that this is the reason the horses have to brought to their farm.

I’m not sure that what they’re doing is wrong, IF this is a clearing house for PMUs, but it’d be much more ethical, I’d have more respect for them and might someday buy a horse from them, IF they just told the truth instead of using this whole smoke and mirrors BS to try to appear to be something they’re not (Do I win the longest run-on sentence award now? )

Wow, you can get a hypoallergenic WB to go with your hypoallergenic blah-blah-doodle dog to go with your hairless cat…

When is the next hypoallergenic WB inpection tour?

If I were near Virginia I swear I’d drive over and pay them a visit! Oh, no…I forgot I’d be TURNED AWAY AT THE LOCKED PASSWORD-ENABLED GATES AND ASKED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
That’s so they can clean the place and dope the horses before you get there.
Something subversive is going on at VSH.

Oh man

How the heck did this horse end up with them :frowning:
He was a stallion standing up in WV. I actually have one horse by him, and have had two come thru CANTER. They all have effed up feet. :frowning:

They had on the page an “update” of sorts dating Dec. 05, to the effect that he was being started undersaddle. So I’d guess that they haven’t sent him to the killer pens just yet.

Isn’t he the one where on the main page with all the horses in that price category they have his birth year listed as 1999? Wow, he’s 2 whole years younger in the ad…

A $500 “Restocking” fee if your horse doesn’t pass the vetting?!? Get real.

I have to go meet my farrier…please keep this thread going so I can check back on it tonight!

The “thoroughbred” stallion posted earlier, Truculent Schyler, has an interesting ad. First of all, they say he has a

10+++Temperament
Since horses’ temperaments are scored on a 1 - 10 scale, with 10 being the hottest, this must be one &@%$ of a stallion.

I particularly like this part:

He has a phenomenal temperament, lots of bone and literally floats on air.

A helium horse??? Horse balloon?

Hey, Sandbar…would you even entertain buying a horse from this website, given the blah, blah, blah rhetoric on their website? You know we’re going to talk about this one (LOL)! If, as you say, they are going to use the $500 to specifically find a horse that suits your requirements, why not just say that. Why not just say that it’s a finders fee for their effort to match your requirements to the horse they think you want. And what about the $500 “restocking fee”, or the BS about vetting, etc. I usually try to find the bright side to things like this, but this sounds “factory” to me.

Personally, I find their legalese BS offensive. They assume they know more about the horse I want than I do. That they can pinpoint a GP dressage horse or jumper better than I or any trainer can do…sure, I’m sure that Stephan Peters, Guenter Sidell (sp?), Beezie Madden, etc. have nothing on them.

Yes, they did. Guess they aren’t “expert” designers too.

Is he old? It’s very sad. Who knows what he’s been through.
