shireluver, you totally made my day!! I haven’t heard that in years.

I had to fit in another visit here between work, grocery shopping, supper & chores–wow, about 10 pages today, y’all have been busy!
Please don’t forget that whatever horse meat Canada exports, a certain amount of it is actually US horses, shipped up across the border specifically to go to the slaughterhouse in Quebec.
After I logged off this morning I thought of something else I should have asked Liz’s supporters here. Someone stated earlier that VSH is, or was, a drop off point for Canadian horses going to other homes…to me this implies that other people have bought the horses in Canada & had them shipped down to the US to be dropped off at VSH & then the purchaser picks them up there. But from the VSH website it sounded as if Liz picks out the horses in Canada, puts them on her website & tries to sell them before she actually takes possession of them. Then they get shipped in a group to her facility & are distributed to their buyers from there. Regardless, does she blank out the coggins on all these horses? Or do the buyers buy direct & therefore know where they’re coming from anyway? If VSH is merely a dropoff point for many of these horses, that implies that the sale of those horses is strictly between the Canadian seller and the new US buyer…with VSH being only the place where the horses change trailers. If that is right, then those coggins tests that come with those horses belong to the buyer, not to Liz & she surely can’t/doesn’t alter them?
I’ve had few horses brought up from the US & dropped off at a friend’s farm near the border, then I go down & pick up the horse from the friend’s farm, and she hands over the package of paper work. I’d be pretty pissed off if I opened the package & discovered that she had altered the paperwork!?
Speaking of PMU a co-worker of mine showed me pix of two foals he’s looking at buying from a PMU farm a few miles from here. Both are reg’d QH. He’s wanting the colt, but I told him to go for the filly. She is absolutely gorgeous, and please remember that I’m totally NOT a QH person, but if I had the $1000 and room to spare, I’d go & bring her home myself.
What if the stirrups got caught on something…
VHS advertises many horses that are still in Canada. Sometimes you can find them on the websites of the farms in Canada for much less money than VHS has them priced at. And sometimes the farm in Canada actually sells the horse themselves but then the horse shows up marked as SOLD on the VHS website to inflate the numbers of horses sold there.
I never understood why they did that though when they themselves sold THOUSANDS of horses a year?
And the only person I know that ever altered a Coggins certificate did jail time for it.
Good business integrity and much cheaper to mark out the farm name than to spend an extra thirty some dollars times THOUSANDS of horses for new Coggins?
Yep, I had a little free time, but not enough to bash a women I know nothing about. Some of you people are down right cruel…
Ziggy diggy dah blic blah, bling blah ha!! libby doop mesel mut filp flop obi one konobi.
Am I the only one who logs on now to read this specific thread, ignoring all others?
I need a new bowl of popcorn!
Trust me, you are def. not alone!
I…think…it’s…slowing…down…
Can you PROVE those are your own teeth?
The main difference in the breeding of warmbloods, is the rigorous documentation, selection and testing for breeding stock. There is mandatory performance testing for all stock with the emphasis placed on temperament and rideability. ~ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warmblood
It’s funny when you only quote PART of the definition!!! Try using the whole story…

My cable’s been down and now I have almost 200 posts to catch up with.
Let me know when you are coming!
She’s got the receipt and everything from the Teef 'r" Us store.
(Couldn’t resist!)
This Alabamian took a reading class last night so I could try and understand VSH and its policies, and then I took a class in English this morning so I’d speak the same language as the other posters…
:lol:So I guess I have to get rid of my spittoon and rebel flag now, and burn down my outhouse.
I read this when the thread was just a few pages long. When I saw it was up to over 1800 posts, I thought, wow – I need to see what the heck is going on.
I’m at work and will surely get busted if I surf through this whole thread. So, who wants to give me the Cliff Notes on this?
You need to go to the fireworks thread, now that is a trainwreck going strong. You may need a drink with that popcorn over there.
Now that all the hype is over…I think Ill post lol.
I went and looked at their site this morning and noticed much of the scary stuff has been removed. Which made me wonder…if she either removes that bad stuff or changes it to sound nicer, would this really change her practices? or would she still do everything the way it was before but have a nice presentation on the website so this kind of thing doesnt happen again? Like if she takes out the part that says she changes the coggins…does this mean she isnt changing coggins anymore?? or is she still doing it just without mentioning it anymore…
The part that really bothered me though about the whole thing is how boarders have to have PERMISSION to see their horse?? I was always under the impression that as a boarder, I had a RIGHT to check on my own horse. I dunno…but I suppose if you sign the contract you agree to those terms and you no longer have the right… but what happens if they are doing things with your horse without your permission…such as riding it?? I know that’s been hashed over more than once on here.
I must missed the part about the boarders needing permission to see there horses. Now way in H*** I wouldn’t board there. I don’t care if they picked up my stall every hour and gave it massages. I as the owner have every right to see my horse when I want.
Kinda gives me a weird feeling of what don’t they want people to see going on there. You have to have an appt to see horses there that are for sale and you have to have an appt if you are a boarder. No vetting allowed. So what is going on there?
Yeah. What she said.
Oh come on Percheron and Two Simple…you’re still reading it so it MUST entertain you!!!
All of Liz Booth’s defenders have disappeared. I wish they’d stayed and answered specific questions, then maybe we could let this die…
But hey, they say we actually helped her business, so we don’t have to feel guilty for being so “nasty” and “threatening”…
