Macy’s has seamless panties
Which look like they contain about 50 cents worth of material and are something like $20.
I don’t bother.

I used to have this problem but it went away completely when I started wearing UnderArmour compression shorts. They are tight fitting so they won’t ride up. I
wear them under full seat breeches and have never had issues. I use white ones under my breeches when I show.
Compression shorts work great… I have to third or fourth the commando option though, I really really hate panty lines and I’d rather leave someone wondering than someone thinking “OMG look at those panty lines!”
Also have you rotated your leathers recently? You could have a bit ore length from stretching one and it’s causing you to be unbalanced? Dubious, but a possibility.
Hanky Panky thongs are the best. No panty lines, hard seams and one size fits all. Check em out at Nordstroms, Bloomies, The Rack (half priced due to being last seasons print…who cares!) and other fine retailers/boutiques. I cannot imagine wearing panty hose or shorts underneath britches, holy hot undercarriage batman.
Soma Intimates has a type of underwear that is guaranteed not to give you a wedgie and stays exactly where you put it. I got my trainer a pair and she went and bought 10 more. There are no seams and I haven’t had any further problems with the chafing since I got them.
Actually, if I wear knee patch breeches, I still get a little bit, but the full seat with this underwear is a sure bet that it won’t happen.
I’ve been good with old fashion, cotton granny panties and Monkey Butt powder from Tractor Supply. I used to get outbreaks of the chafe from being in jeans all summer; not anymore. Of course, my friends use to make fun of me because I was the only one with the chafe. Now they tease me because the granny panties stickout over the top of the waist band of my jeans.
I have had this issue all of my adult life. I have tried a bunch of ways to get around it. The best thing I have found are my Pikeur full-seat breeches. Those things are amazing. I wish I had more than one pair.
Yep. Hanky Panky thongs or commando.
Therein lies the proof that something is wrong with my riding - never had the problem…no advice for you all … but I do wear Pikeur full seats!
JellyPantz & KY (and I don’t mean Kentucky)…
I can tell you what I know some fellow endurance riders have done- duct tape. On the outside of underwear, covering crotch area, shiny side down:) Provides just a bit of “slide-ability”.
Microfiber, no seam! Lightweight and available in most big box stores. I think they are made by Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. For me the issue was mostly the elastic rubbing against the tendon that comes off the epubis and down into the inner thigh.
Hanes’ legholes have a bit more give (or mine could just be that old). The FOTL are a little tighter, but may not have been broken in yet (and you get twice as many pairs (7 vs 3 in Hanes) for the same price at WallyWorld).
Try powdering them running a line of deodorant/antiperspirant along that line. a Good tip for thigh rub under skirts as well.
I hate microfiber undies- I like the Jockey brand seamless bamboo or cotton panties. Available everywhere Quality Clothing is sold (like Sears!)
I only get that when I ride in an ill fitting saddle. There are several brands/custom designed seats I know of, veryyyyy clearly-haha-that I will always avoid!!

I rode in a pair of these and hated them…ended up with a blister where the sticky part of the panties connect.

Whille Kennett Square is gone, RIP Babs, both Inverness and the 12 yr old mentioned are still in my barn. I’m the only one who is crazy enough to still post here.

Ahhhhhh, threads like this are how you KNOW you are a COTH “veteran.” When you see the word “sensitive” (or similar) in the dressage forum or someone is obviously embarrassed to bring up a “personal” topic, and your brain immediately shouts out, “INVERNESSSSS!!!” you know you are officially a COTH veteran.[/QUOTE]
^ So true!
Put your panties on inside out so the seams aren’t against your skin. Works for me.
I was really suffering from this kind of chafing, especially when cantering. Then cycling friends suggested “Chamois Butt’r” formulated to end abrasions on long bike rides. I now use it when riding, and PROBLEM SOLVED! An 8-ounce sells for around $20 CAD. Rinses off skin and clothing easily.
