Knowonder, if necessary, can they ship you in and give Aiden part of YOUR liver (that is, if his other new one is not working right??)?

HOLD IN THERE AIDEN!

lordhelpus with your comment about the St Pete’s seniors and all they can buy is horse semen,

When the donor sticker fell off my license last week (and in CA I can’t get a new sticker til i renew in 06/2004!!!), I sat down and had a talk with my parents and sister. Told them that I was ordering them to donate my organs . Of course, it was an easy sell to them, since they all agree with me.

What if the Hokey Pokey IS what its all about?

Can someone try calling the nurse’s station to see what they can tell us?

Okay, I know we are all worried. And frankly, we have been for a LONG time, like months. But I don’t know if calling the nurse’s station for an update is such a good idea. I would think they would be very limited in what information they could give us, and frankly, I would much rather WAIT and hear news from Lisa or Knowonder or one of the others who have been very kindly keeping us abreast of what is happening.

Just a gut feeling here, but my gut is usually smarter than my brain. I know it is hard, but I really think we should just wait. We’ll get news when there is news to be gotten.

Patience and prayer.

It comes from an indomitable will.”

Rest up Aiden and kick on! All best, as always, to the Hawks Please let us know the first sign of a giggle out of your little Lionheart - that will be worthy of an update for sure!

I haven’t been able to check in for a while; I only just now learned that Knowonder might be able to help Aiden! PRAYING MADLY!

How wonderful to be able to help in such a concrete way! The rest of us will just have to keep sending money.

Still thinking about you up here little guy. Echoing many sentiments on the thread, I just have to think about Aiden to restore my sense of ‘living in the moment’ and not taking anything for granted. It’s too easy to start worrying about the future, regretting the past, and not taking every day as a gift.

Aiden will have many more days healthy days of gifts to come

This is great news. Of course there are going to be bumps along the way but Aiden is a fighter! Keep it up little guy. Lisa and Joey I hope you are trying to get some sleep once and awhile…

Just catching up on this thread after a couple of days.

Aiden, we love you little one. Lots of extra prayers and good health wishes are being sent your way from all around the world. There are even a bunch left over to cover your mom and dad. Get well Aiden. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}

What wonderful pictures! Thank you, Lisa, for sharing with us!
I know the scars are where the angels kissed Aiden, but do any of you remember pix of teddy bears with the seams? Maybe Little Lions have seams too!

I am supposed to be going over a ton of pix my daughter emailed me to peruse for our website - and where I am? Looking at Aiden, Lisa, and Joey pix instead! How absolutely beautiful to see you holding Aiden - and he looks so composed lying there with his legs crossed. What am amazing little man he is!

I read a quote today that I really like: A life lived in love has access to the deepest wisdom. Dr. Michael Thomas

Hopefully you are all sleeping peacefully. You were in lots of bedtime prayers and will be in the morning and the all during the day prayers too.

Walk in love and balance,

What an emotional rollercoaster…I’m can see in my minds eye what is happening in surgery after having spent the majority of my career in the OR!! I wish I could be part of the team for Aiden!!
But it is miraculous what is happening both at Emory and on this BB.

I have this week off and volunteered to man our Church’s food pantry this AM. I ran to BJ’s (like Sam’s Club) to buy tuna, mac & cheese, etc. to donate. I suddenly could hear my late Mom’s voice
telling me during the Depression how wonderful Christmas was with her family. They would only get a big naval orange and candy, but how they loved those oranges! I RAN to the produce and bought the biggest net bag of FLA navals I could find.
An elderly African-American lady came in for food and when I said, “Oh, wait…you MUST have an orange, it’s not Christmas without an orange!”…she looked back at me with tears in her eyes and said “God Bless you, Merry Christmas” and I swear it was my MOM talking to me!!

Merry Christmas to all…and Peace on Earth.

You can do it. You have done it. You have given more love than you can imagine. And what goes around, comes around.

Lisa, I cannot imagine how hard it is to be there with Aiden and at the same time watch other families go through the same thing, having a tough time of it, even as you did last week.

Will you keep us apprised of the little girl’s progress so that we can pray for her also? There is enough strength here to go around,

Prayers and jingles for Aiden and the little girl.

I'm an organ donor. Are you?

Lisa,
You amaze me. Your precious baby is finally on the right path, yet you take the time to pray for the life of the little one who gifted Aiden with his. You are a truly wonderful, classy woman and I look forward to the chance to meet you, Aiden and Joey the first chance I get!!!

Just call me Mrs. Robinson…

A living donor is just that…a living person who is willing to part with a portion of their liver. Yes, liver’s can be sliced and shared because the liver is one of the few organs that will re-generate. Bone marrow and kidneys may also be donated by living donors…and of course, blood is donated all the time.

I hope its true that good things come to those who wait!!

Hopefully by the time I come back (in a few hours) from babysitting the 1 and 3 year old from my church maybe there will be good news!

“Shared joy is double joy, shared sorrow is 1/2 sorrow.” --Sweedish Proverb

Reading Aiden’s latest update gave me goosebumps!

More prayers, positive thoughts and jingles are being sent your way. And of course, {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}!
