Aiden update.. Posted Pictures! Must end the Aiden thread. Aiden is doing excellent. THANK YOU COTH!!! (137) 1/23

It is NOT dorky to bring your video camera when your baby is visiting Santa!

In fact, it is a mommy-requirement! Haven’t you read the mommy handbook Lisa??!!

Glad to see Aiden calmed down and enjoyed his visit with Santa - the pics are great! Thanks so much for sharing them.

You know, I’m half tempted to go sit on Santa’s lap myself to ask him for a liver for Aiden, but that would NOT be fair to Santa! So I’ll have to settle for more jingles and prayers.

This was sent from a friend who’s little baby died waiting for a liver:

To remember me

Give my sight to the man who has never seen a sunrise, a baby’s face or love in the eyes of a woman.
Give my heart to a person whose heart has caused nothing but endless days of pain.
Give my blood to the teenager who was pulled from the wreckage of his car, so that he might live to see his grandchildren.
Give my kidneys to one who depends on a machine to exist from week to week
Take my bones, every muscle every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child walk.
If you must bury something let it be my faults, my weaknesses and all the prejudice against my fellow man.
Give my sins to the devil

Give my soul to God
If by chances you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you.
If you do all I have asked, I will live forever

yeah Aiden!! Go baby go!!!

What a wonderful Christmas miracle he is. Still keeping the Hawks in my thoughts, and jingling harder than ever for fluids to go away and Aiden to get off the vent.

PEE before the arteriogram! Many times! As much as possible!

Just because you’re not paranoid, doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you.

Yay Aiden!!!

I knew you would be out of PICU soon. Just keep walking your path…small steps will do. Before you know it, you’ll be miles down the road and into your brand new, wonderful, HEALTHY life!

This whole story has been such an inspiration to me. Even when things seem dark and very dire, just keep the faith. Keep believing that everything will be okay. As long as people keep believing in the hope, it will not die.

“You’re only young once, but you can be immature forever!”

What a long day for everyone, the Hawks, the medical staff, the family who lost a child and knowonder woman…my heart goes out to all of you.

I don’t think I can go to bed without hearing about Aiden and his new liver.

I’m praying that the end to this horrendous roller coaster is just around the corner. Everybody is in this fighting for Aiden together and it’s a tremendous comfort that he’s in the absolute best hands.

As for you Lisa, and for Joey, I’m sorry, I just don’t know what to say that could be of a comfort. I wish I was HALF as strong as you are and you’ve been this strong all along. Through all the ups and the downs, the good days and the bad days, the trips to hospitals at all hours… you’ve been the strongest person ever. I can’t begin to describe how much I admire that, your faith and trust is incredible. I know that you don’t know me, but if there is anything at all that I could ever do for your family, PLEASE let me know.

p.s. - Somewhere among these 30+ pages I lost the number to call for updates. What is it again?

That’s awesome!! Enjoy

But this wonderful story warms my heart!

What a wonderful Christmas present to have your little baby recoving!

It can be a true happy holiday!

I hope you keep all these posts for Aiden to see one day when he is bigger and can understand them. He will see what a special baby he is!

I have started the hunt for a wicker pony basket, for Aiden to sit in as he makes his leadline tour of the East Coast. People who are even OLDER than I, remember them – I am sure there is one stuck in the back of a hayloft somewhere.

KICK ON, LITTLE GUY! You will be on a pony in a couple of months. Then you will belong to the world, not just to Mommy and Daddy and your cyber aunts and uncles.

You have big things in store for your life. I am priviledged to be along for the ride.

I'm an organ donor. Are you?

Tears of joy for you! A miracle indeed. I will be thinking of little Aiden all day. God Bless the parents of the donor child for their gift of life to little Aiden.

you are my hero.

So happy for you and your family and so hopeful and excited for baby Aiden. Kudo’s to all that have played a role in getting him and his mom to this happy moment.

I’m sure that is disappointing news but it must mean that the perfect donor is still out there!

praying often and jingling hard

Charis: I never thought he would cry! he gets poked with needles, has had major surgeries, lives with liver disease… but SANTA!!! hahah LOL he is still a “normal” baby.

Here is my favorite picture. He was sleeping at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. He loves his baby beare blanket… awwwwwww

Dear God,

In this season of miracles, we once again come to you and ask for your intercession and another miracle for Aiden. Help us to understand and be patient with your plan for him. Give him and his family the strength to endure this trying time. Bless the surgeons’ hands and guide them. Let your angels surround and protect Aiden, Joey, Lisa and all who love them.
In your name we pray.

HE LOOKS WONDERFUL!
Lisa, he looks great! The little lion is a nice touch!
He is so cute and adorable–the rosy cheeks are so wonderful!
Like sbt781w, I too feel so blessed that i have gotten to be a part of this story. Whenever, for the rest of my life, I meet anyone who doesn’t believe in miracles, I will tell them about this little boy, our miracle lion-baby!

I love you all!

What wonderful news!! That child certainly knows how to hang on and ride to the next fence no matter what. That will stand him in good stead during his long and busy life – course it may make his poor parents old long before their time!!

I am so happy for you this evening Lisa and Joey – having your little Aiden come back to you after such a wild and scary ride must be one of life’s great moments. I hope you are in for a bit of a quiet trail ride now instead of the recent rodeo.

Best wishes for continued good news.

Kate

I just spoke with Goobs, and she sends her jingles too. GOOOOOOOOOOOOO Aiden! (I feel like I’m cheering at a baseball game!)

What if the Hokey Pokey IS what its all about?

What a beautiful Christmas present. I could not ask for more.
