Aiden update.. Posted Pictures! Must end the Aiden thread. Aiden is doing excellent. THANK YOU COTH!!! (137) 1/23

And yes, thank you! For sharing your plight with us with all it’s ups and downs.

It’s sad to see the thread go but what a fabulous reason!

Be sure to take lots of pictures at that party in February for those us who cannot come!!!

There is nothing so grand as to fly on the back of a horse!

although pretty soon we won’t be able to call you “Baby Aiden”…
Big Boy Aiden! have a good day today.
Lisa, I called you yesterday just to say hello, but missed you… just want you to know that we are thinking of you.
Lckyduck - a broken collarbone? oowwwww! poor little one!

I LOFF good baby Aiden news!
What a wonderful way to start the new year!

Wow… no other words can explain how I feel right now, this is amazing, you guys are amazing and oh so strong

Thank God, and there are tears of joy streaming down my face.

AIDEN IS OUT OF THE PICU!!!

Aiden is out of the PICU (actually OUT this time!) and on the kidney/liver transplant floor he has been on in past visits. I just talked to Lisa and she sounded SO happy!

They have tons of great nurses up there, and our good friend Dr. Romero (my favorite) will be his main doc. He is in room 461 if you want to send cards directly to his room. I do still think sending to the Mason house works best, though, as he will be there much longer than in the hospital. Plus, either Joey or Lisa or a family member is at the Mason House many times a day, so they just bring back stacks of mail to the room!

As far as other news goes, Aiden is still on the Methadone, but resting much more comfortably. Lisa said he almost gave, kind of something sort of like what resembles a smile. Hopefully he will get back to his giggly self soon!

I don’t think he is eating much right now, but that’s another big hurdle they’d like to get through. Aiden is very skinny, and has lost a lot of weight. I would really love any prayers you can give for him to get a healthy appetite back, and the ability to digest what he does eat. He needs to start gaining weight back so he can move better and feel better!

Okay - I’m off to change the title of the thread with the update. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your thoughts and prayers!!!

Does this mean Aiden doesn’t have to work so hard??? I know he still has some tough work to do but maybe the work got lighter for such a little guy. Can you picture the determination this guy is going to have??? Oppps…I mean has!!!

I do so hope the whole Hawk family gets some good rest as they celebrate the biggest gift of all. What a wonderful Christmas.

Fight, Aiden!!!

“I can justify anything!”

OH POO!!! I do not know what to say except that God would not let baby Aiden get this far and then bail … so just keep on fighting and we will keep on praying and reminding him that he has not gotten Aiden out of the woods yet and we need him to… and the sooner the better as far as we all are concerned.
Lord Helpus… you can be angry… but how about you just shout out your name over and over and he will know of what and whom we speak!
Lisa and Joey hang on … it is going to get easier… it has to! You all are still and will remain in our thoughts and prayers …just keep hanging on as tight as you can to that wonderful thing you have called faith. We will hang on with you!

HAAAA! post it when you get a chance! That is so funny!

Sara, I feel terrible! She is so unselfish - will say prayers for her. See how things happen for a reason? See how special Aiden is? If it wasn’t for him, Sara would have never known. Things are coming full circle, it’s so weird. I am so happy that Aiden is doing okay and his liver levels are excellent! Now my train ride home will be a happy one! I hope I will be able to log on over the weekend to make sure Aiden and Sara are doing well - I am sure they will be but I am a worry wart! Love you guys!!! xoxoxoxoxoXOXOXOXOX

AIDEN IS OFF THE VENT!!!

Aiden is off the vent/extubated and doing well!!! Lisa said it went much better than expected, and he’s sitting in bed trying to figure out his tongue again. He’s making funny noises with his mouth, and making little bitty sigh sounds when he breathes.

This is GREAT news, as this should mean nothing but improvement from now on (hopefully!). Lisa took some pictures that she’s trying to figure out how to get on her laptop. Hopefully she’ll have some to post soon!

All your jingles and thoughts worked today, thanks everyone!

Dearest Hawks,

Such great news! Thank you all for including us in this journey. There’s strength in numbers.

Looking forward to meeting you one day. I won’t make the Feb party, but am hopeful for the leadline tour!

We were all sitting in the COTH AIM Chat and then you changed the title of the thread. Everyone was sitting there typing, is it up yet, is it, over and over again. Then when it was posted, everyone typed YEA!!!.

Aiden is loved.

YEAH!!!

What wonderful wonderful news! Just saw the post about him sleeping on his tummy & you brought happy tears to my eyes! MUCH better tears than I had last week and earlier today during shoulder surgery and then cyst removal!!!

Anxiously awaiting more photos!!!

Show goals achieved & Sass is in foal! 7 months down... about 4 more to go.

We've got STANLEY! Wings Rock!

Good Morning baby Aiden and family… I pray that just as this is the end of a year that it will be the end of the unknowing and the stumbing blocks that have plagued you all the last few days. I pray that this morning finds you improving… until the new year can bring you complete health. You have been in my thoughts and prayers all night! You will remain there. I do pray that today is a good one and that 2003 brings nothing but good days for you precious angel and your family.

I am new here, but have been watching this thread for quite some time.

I just wanted to say that I pray for Baby Aiden and the Hawk family every day, and formally wanted to ‘jingle my curb chain’…
from what I have read, I have so sure that Aiden will fight till he is well…which is soon!
until then… Stay strong Lisa and Joey, because I have faith your little boy will win!xoxo

This fence is just a little bit higher, Aiden. Grab mane and jump clear!!
