Aiden update.. Posted Pictures! Must end the Aiden thread. Aiden is doing excellent. THANK YOU COTH!!! (137) 1/23

Oh my god! I’m speechless! (I really am)

Happy Holidays! My thoughts are with you today and my heart goes out to the donor’s family.

Also… please tell us where we can send cards and gifts!

…and hoping that it warms you from your head to your little toes.
I said a prayer for you with my little Devon today- if he could talk he would send you his good thoughts, too! Hang in there little guy!!!

Yipeeeee

That is wonderful news.

Just talked to Lisa–Aiden is back home sleeping in his crib. He had a little trouble breathing under the anethesia but not as bad as last time–he didn’t ever actually stop breathing. His veins were still enlarged–however one SHOWED SOME IMPROVEMENT–we’re taking what we can get at this point His esophagus also remains very constricted–keep those jingles coming!

Lisa will post more detail when she has time but for now he is sleeping peacefully at home in his very own crib

Thanks for the update Sara!

Hi Aiden! Hope all is well.

It’s COLD here, too, and the wind is picking up. Yesterday I bought a bunch of tulips – so at least it’s spring inside!

Today I took two friends out for their birthdays - the one has been my friend since first grade and we have celebrated for 61 years on and off (for about 40 yrs we lived half a country apart). Anyway another woman in the party is a liver transplant
“poster girl” (surgery when she was 48 and that was 8 years ago) - Julie is the youngest looking 56 you will ever see! Just want to share this success story with you!

And I hope Aiden will be celebrating birthdays with his childhood friends 61 years from now - and more.

God bless you all, most precious persons. You are now on two more prayer groups at church in High Springs, Florida.

Well said, Lord Helpus. I especially like the emphasized words.

Go Aiden, Go!!!

“I can justify anything!”

Oh Lisa!!!

You have brought me to tears, your courage and faith have so touched my heart. This in turn has given me faith in my own life, to face challenges, to take whatever comes and always FIGHT!

Merry Christmas Hawk Family…and Merry Christmas to everyone on the board who has shown such faith and determination that this little boy make it.

happy horsin!

Glad to hear the good news!

And I hope everyone involved got a good rest last night!

well, since the internet kicked me off after my last post, I took it as a sign to call the waiting room and leave a message for the Hawkes.

I wound up taking to Aiden’s grandmother (Joey’s Mom), who sounds like a wonderful person!

Aiden is going in for another CAT scan, and they are still waiting for the lab results (page 83). His liver is function perfectly, but his breathing is being assisted by the ventilator. The CAT scan should help them determine what is happening.

I am sure there will be a more comprehensive update soon. Meanwhile, my prayers and curb chain jingling continue.

It’s OUT! Linda Allen’s 101 Exercises for Jumping co-authored by MOI!!!

We all love you, Lisa! Such wonderful news! Thanks for sharing with us, and please post pics when you get a moment.

I’d like to nominate Akrogirl’s “Coeur de Lion” the name for Aiden’s first pony!!!

Good morning, Hawk family! Hope everyone had a restful night. Looking forward to more good news and more pics.

I’ve got to say, considering the ordeal you folks have gone through, you look great! Don’t ever lose that winning smile.

Donating blood would be a Mitzvah (a good or charitable act). Aiden will need blood and blood products, and so will many other children and adults.

I just had a transfusion of two units because my counts got too low from chemotherapy. I did wait too long before consenting to a transfusion. Now I can do simple things, such as carry water buckets, muck out my stall and tack up my horse, without gasping for air and my heart pounding a mile a minute. Being able to dance with my friends at the office Christmas party was the best gift of the season for me. I wish I could thank the two people who donated blood and made my holiday season so bright!

…so donate some blood with Aiden in mind, and also think of the others whom you will be helping at this time of the year to enjoy the holidays with your gift of a blood donation.
