Spoke to the surgeons and a bunch of doctors. He is about the same. Not realy interested in waking. He is on very very minimal sedation and pain meds, but he is not wanting to wake up. He is responsive to the neurological tests so his brain is fine, according to the docs. He is just exhausted.
I just know that my little lion heart needs his rest to come back fighting. I love the sweet things you said. I am geting stronger. Maybe God sent this bump so Joey and I could sleep. we came back to the Mason Guest House and slept for 5 hours. The first time in a bed in a week. OH it helped us.
Little Aiden looks so peaceful. He is like and angel. Every once in a while I will be singing to him and he will suck his little lips like he has a binky. So sweet. He is just dreaming. Maybe playing in his dreams with his angel donor from Heaven.
They are giving him nutrition through his ng tube and through his veins. Keep jingeling. Thank you so much. Ps/ someone asked if I print these out for Aiden to read. I absolutly do. I am very behind though right now with being in the hospital. I am going to ask someone to, make me a binder and keep filling it up. I do print out some random responses and show them to my family as we wait while he recovers. They make ALL of us stronger. especially Equimom’s poem. I emailed it to my entire family. What a gifted writer she is.
anyway, thank you for praying just wanted to update agin. we are much beter rested. Devil can’t get us down for long! I am going to support Aiden and remind HIM how special he is so he begins to fight back! Just watch he will I know it!!

“KICK ON!”
Aiden looks wonderful! I just can’t get over how quickly things have progressed. He’s a real fighter.
Lisa and Joey, please rest when you can. You need to take care of yourselves too.
xoxo
and thank you Sara for the update. Don’t think we could stand to not know – the ups and the downs – and I know our collective prayers are being heard. Aiden WILL do wonderfully well – he is such a fighter and there is NO OTHER OPTION! We’ll keep praying little boy and you keep fighting!!

Argh, another hurdle to overcome young man! Settle that seat and press on! Come on Little Lion Prince, you can do this, you know you can!
Jingling and jangling away, as always and sending love and good cheer to your parents.
NOOOOOOOOOO - praying and jingling really hard right now. Come on little lion - it’s not fun but you can get through this too.
and thank you for a most special Christmas season…

Excellent!!!
I’m in the same boat as Karina…I have a dog that needs a bath and a haircut, a car that needs to be washed, and a fence that needs to be repaired, yet I find myself just sitting here, jingling, and looking for updates.
What if the Hokey Pokey IS what its all about?
Yeaaahhh Thank God for the terrific news of being discharged to the Mason House. At least you can begin some sense of being home. Just being out of the hospital is refreshing! Congratulations on another milestone. You are on you way.
God bless everyone.
thank you knowonder for the update, and Charis for the beautiful prayer…
talloaks, after reading your post, I had trouble seeing too, but it was because of tears…
I lost my sister to cancer when she was only 35, with a 3 year old son, and I agree with you that every moment of every day we should remember that life is short, and every day is a gift.
I am so sorry to read about your son, and your great loss…
Aiden, Lisa, Joey and Knowonder have helped to remind me of the preciousness of life, and the importance of love, faith, courage in our day to day lives.
and the response of the wonderful people who I have met on this board, and their kindness and concern and generosity has really restored a great deal of my faith in people.
Kick ON Baby Aiden!
I’m adding even more prayers and jingles and good thoughts
Aiden is a beautiful baby and no amount of tubes can hide that or his spirit. Have no fear of sharing your pictures with us, this is what we see.

A Very Merry Christmas to dear Baby Aiden and his Family. You have made this an especially meaningful Christmas season. Thank you for sharing your story. I’ve been following it through tears as it has unfolded. Last night at Christmas Eve Candlelight service you were in my thoughts and prayers and my wish at blowing out my candle was for you. I shared your story with my visiting family today at our Christmas dinner. Little Precious Boy, I hope someday you’ll know how deeply you have touched the hearts of people and put into perspective what the Christmas season is about. I will always remember this Christmas and the story of the very brave little boy and the love of his amazing family and circle of friends. You are in our hearts and prayers. This little note comes with lots of love from your friends in Lebanon, Jefferson, and Portland, OR who are cheering you on!

awww, those are the cutest pictures! All of the Santa pictures from when my brother and I were little are of me beaming away like the perfect child
while my brother screams his head off.
Pictures can be oh-so-accurate.
I hope your family has a wonderful Christmas! I believe that Christmas miracles do happen, and if anyone deserves one this year, its Aiden.
