OK, I’ve taken the liberty of setting up a Yahoo group for Lisa, as I’m sure she has better things to do.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Yahoo groups… they are basically mailing lists. There’s a main email address for the list, and once you subscribe, you receive all the emails sent to that address. So, basically, the same stuff going on on this thread can continue… it will just be via email instead of the BB.

You will have a couple of options for your subscription… you can either get every email individually (which could mean quite a few emails a day), you can receive a daily digest (which is one long email that contains all the individual emails that were sent that day – less clutter in your inbox), or you can just read the messages via the web.

Anyone who is subscribed can send a message to the list, which can be read by everyone else who is subscribed.

And, of course, you can unsubscribe yourself at any time.

You should be able to sign yourself up there. You can also sign up by sending an email to COTH_aiden-subscribe@yahoogroups.com… I think you just put the word “subscribe” in the message.

Once you’re a member, to send an email to the whole group, you send it to COTH_aiden@yahoogroups.com. Remember, this goes to EVERYONE who is subscribed.

All of this is explained at the URL I gave above, so bookmark that, and you’ll have all the info you need.

Disclaimer time. This list is obviously separate from the BB – it’s not sanctioned by COTH, but is being done as a courtesy for BB members who want to continue this discussion. The list is not moderated, and the only rules are Yahoo’s. Since I set up the list, I’m listed as the “owner”… I’ll be happy to help anyone who has trouble signing up or using the list, but for the most part, you all will be on your own.

I’m going to go ahead and close this thread now, so that the info about the Yahoo group won’t get buried. Thanks again to everyone for their support… and what a nice feeling to be able to close this “chapter” of Aiden’s story.

Yes those prayers are working - we’re keeping it up here I can tell you that!!!

Knowonder, please tell Lisa (for me at least) that getting info to us should be the least of her worries. Of course we are all thinking of them and wanting to know - but Aiden needs her more and that’s all she should have to think about. None of us (I’m sure) want to add to her stress by having her feel that she has to get info to us - we are here for her and Aiden and Joey no matter what!!!

So glad to read more good news though - thanks so much Knowonder!!!

Re: the leadline class… I’m seeing Aiden’s Victory Tour, a whole circuit of leadline classes where his participation and recap of his story creates the opportunity for education on organ donation. I also think that a leadline class is the natural ‘happy Hollywood ending’ for “Where Hawks Soar - The Aiden Hawk Story (a Hallmark Hall of Fame Production)” You know how at the end of Schindler’s List they go to Schindler’s grave and the long line of survivors placing a stone on the marker? Well, imagine the ‘movie Aiden’ competing in his first leadline class’ (camera fades out on a joyous movieRolexH leading “Aiden” up to receive the blue ribbon) then opens again on a field at the Hampton Classic (or Upperville; possible better tie-in to the COTH) where the real Hawks are surrounded by a vast number of BBers!

I still want Rosie O’Donnell to play me!

I just talked to AIDEN!!! Well - Lisa was doing most of the talking but she held the phone out for Aiden and he was laughing and saying “dadadada”! I can’t wait to see all the Hawks again with Aiden up and crawling around like crazy!

Signing on from our family Christmas trip to AZ…

Many prayers coming your way. When I was on the board last, about 2 days ago there was like 26 posts, when I signed on and say 48, my stomach lurched knowing things had been going on–I still say the good outweigh the bad though.

All my prayers are going to the Hawk family, and to the most precious Aiden in this dire hour. May God spread a blanket of comfort and safety over you and your family.

Was soooo very excited to hear about the inprovement…remember, this is a very difficult and touchy surgery and there will be some difficult moments. But Aiden…and his parents are true fighters and you WILL pull thru this. Kudos to Lisa and Joey for taking time to care for themselves, because Aiden NEEDS you both strong, centered and as comfortable as possible! Thank you gain for sharing your journey with us all and for keeping the updates coming. I feel as if I have known you forever. Aiden will make it thru this and come out on top…it will just take time. We will keep you all in our prayers and thoughts throughout the day and look foward to your news flashes! If there is anything we could do,don’t hesitate to ask!
