I’m sure the lack of oxygen just left his body a little weak…it just needs to rest and recharge. My grandpa was in the hospital right before Christmas with fluid on his lungs and was severely hypoxic one night, and he has since bounced back from being very weak and tired. I just know Aiden will get through this, and you guys too!!

Aiden is doing awesome, breathing so good!
You guys, I am so happy to be telling you GOOD news for a change. Not only does Aiden NOT have a collapsed lung anymore, he is also breathing so good that he is breathing all by himself!! They have the ventilator set on “supported breaths” which means he can breath all on his own, but the vent just “helps him”.
I was so excited!! The only thing is, we had to leave his room. They did not want to up his pain meds or sedation, becuase he deosn’t seem to be in pain, (his heart rate is fine now) but whenever I walk into the rrom he struggles and fusses. I know it is because he doesn’t understnad why I am not picking him up. SO they have asked us to use the “minimal stimulus pain managment therory.” That means I can’t bug him right now. 
I kind of agree becuase he gets really upset when he sees me. The he starts to choke and struggle with the vent. Joey is ok though, he just soothes him. But with me he gets upset.
I am so happy right now about his recovery. I am so glad!!! I know it will only getbetter. I told him about the fuzzy pony, Eddie, that Risk averse rider posted. We LOFF him!

I think it would be the greatest place to have a leadline/coth party!! That is so awesome!! Now I have a funny feeling Aiden will be taking the reigns and kicking his pony’s sides. He will always want to do more.
Dakota Wyatt: Thanks so much for coming down. It is so neat to see you. I Loff having visitors. I can’t wait till he is on the floor and he can play. Right now is just such a stinky time. We can’t get charmed with his smile with the vent in his mouth, Soon it will be out and we will all get to see that little smile.
The ICU waiting area is TINY! It houses the visitors from 4 units. It seats about 35 chairs. I have become close with several families. we cry when one gets worse and we cry when one heals. We hold hands and pray and last night we held hands and rang in the new year! It is becoming a family. I do have to tell you, there are good things happening there. A lot of healing.
Good things are coming our way, too. When you guys put all of your energy into Aiden’s breathing, into him getting well, it really worked! Now lets pray that he keep getting better. Thank you.

Wow, the best news ever on an early Saturday morning!!! I never check on the weekends, but something told me I should this one last time before Christmas… 
Praying for everybody, including the family who are not crying tears of joy this time.
I will be offline from today til the 30th, but know that you will be in my thoughts all through the Holidays and we will be sending good thoughts and prayers from Northern Ontario!!!

Surrounded by the mania and joy of my children this holiday, I couldn’t help but think of you, Joey, and precious Aiden - and thank a higher power for my luck and fortune; and hope that the same higher power bestows upon you and your family all that you so richly deserve.
I am overjoyed that little Aiden will grow into a healthy boy - who will one day pester you for Yugi-Oh cards, have itty bitty, “it wasn’t my fault, mommy!” accidents in the middle of the night, draw masterpieces on freshly painted walls, and clasp your face in his tiny hands to coo, with such beautiful sincerity, “I love you mommy.”
Oh, that’s yucky. I hope Lisa and Joey are at least allowed to hold him now, because I’m SURE he needs lots of comforting.

He looks absolutely WONDERFUL! His color in the pictures is great! What a little trooper. You don’t have to worry about “grossing” anyone out or “offending” anyone with that adorable baby…tubes or not! We are all just so glad to hear that he is doing well. Isnt’ it great to finally feel like your baby is pale?! I know when Syda’s jaundice went away…it was like a new baby. No more suntan, just a little china doll!
He is more beautiful than ever! We love you little Aiden…our Lionheart! Can’t wait to see you without the tubes. Do post more Lisa…we LOFF seeing that baby!

My kids are 19 and 23 now, so I had forgotten what it was like in the days of little ones underfoot. We used to put the Christmas tree inside one of those circular expanding wooden gates (remember the pre-safety finger-pinching kind?).

No fears, Aiden the Lion is sleeping so he can save up his energy to he can take all of the villages in the world by storm.

Oh my GOD! this is so fantastic!!! I can’t even think of what to type, LOL. My boyfriend is going to mock me because I’m sitting here with tears and a smile on my face staring at the screen… YES!!!
All my thoughts and prayers are with Aiden and Knowonder for speedy and happy results and recoveries…
and people say gov’t employees are useless… HA!
I just tuned into the Aiden story now. Distracted with some life issues myself in the past few months. I am making a recovery and so will Aiden! I have less need for my guardian angels these days, so I will send them to Aiden. They are powerful, have their chops us and are wise. Here comes Tango and Bennett for Aiden.
