Aiden update.. Posted Pictures! Must end the Aiden thread. Aiden is doing excellent. THANK YOU COTH!!! (137) 1/23

I just told EVERYONE at work EVEY last detail about little Aiden. People were crying, they were so thrilled to hear that he got the liver and it looks to be accepted.

Aiden, you have the entire Atlanta U.S. Department of Labor rooting for you!

He is still doing good. His liver is just great! sleeping through a lot of the withdrawl (with the help of another sedative.) I have some exciting nrews. They let me feed him a little baby food. I chose sweet potatoes because it has the most calories in it, and he Loffs it. He didn’t really want any. He is too out of it. But as soon as he does I will get a picture of him eating his fist bite.

As far as the adress is concerned. Yes there has been two posted here but I checked this is the correct one:

I am sitting in my office, sobbing, saturating my pink and white striped shirt purchased from the store Pink. This morning, my husband mentioned that he has never seen me wear that shirt, and I told him that for some reason it really just seemed to me to be a very pink day! I had no idea how important and wonderful the color pink was going to be today.

KICK ON AIDEN KICK ON!

Aries is the first in the zodiac, they ALWAYS come in first and will fight to the finish - no wonder Aiden is so da*&* tough. Aries never, ever give up. They are the sign of war and they always come out on top!! They meet conflict head on and they win!

Oh Lisa your post - I just completely broke down. I just got home from work, noone here, logged on, read and just broke. He is trying to open his eyes. I just read your post over and over again trying to let it sink in! There was never any doubt ever that he would get his liver and pull through! He is a true warrior! All this feels so surreal (sp?) I can only imagine how it feels on your end! To think only last week. . . now it’s Christmas and Aiden is kicking butt with his new liver! The world is good, life is good. I am so glad you and Joey are resting up, so glad Aiden held your finger and is trying to open his eyes, I’m giggling I tell ya GIGGLING!

Ragdoll - that is a beautiful picture! Looks like we are going to have a white Christmas afterall, will the miracles stop to cease this year at all!?

Please, Aiden baby, you can do it, if anybody can.

Still jingling jangling and praying …

Yes, but if you can get them to continue that when they want something in the middle of the night, it can come in VERY handy

I can’t even begin to describe the joy in my heart when I talked to Lisa yesterday and the bulk of our conversation was about the stuff girlfriends around the globe talk about. Now don’t misunderstand…my first question was about Aiden–but after she told me how awesome he was doing, we talked about what she was having for lunch, my love life (that could be a whole other 134 page thread!) and just the usual girlie stuff. It made me cry to think of how long it had been since Lisa has had the luxury of just having a “girlie chat” without being on edge, listening for a pager or a cell phone to go off, and beibg in a constant state of fear and readiness.

EquiMom–WOW–tears and more tears

Robby–eloquent as always–you are a very special human being

I don’t think any of us will be able to truly measure the gift and the impact that being involved with this family has and will have on our lives. To me it is like being on an Olympic gold medal team or winning the Super Bowl–it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of something so much bigger and better than us as individuals. We each heard the call AND YOU RESPONDED. You each have done what you could to help a virtual stranger–you dug deep into that well and gave where it counts the most–you gave your time, your energy, your prayers, and your hearts–you cared. Those who could supported monetarily and lifted a huge part of the financial burden from the Hawks. Those of us with limited funds found other ways to give–through donating items, services, prayers, support, and even just taking the time to log on and say “WE ARE HERE–YOU ARE NOT ALONE” I know that it meant the world to me when you showed me such support and I know that your posts kept Lisa and Joey sane more than a few times.

I say all of this to say be proud of yourselves. Carry what you have done for this family near to your hearts and when you are reflecting on your life and your accomplishments, count this as one of the greatest–you all helped SAVE A LIFE and you will be forever bettered from your experience here.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Yippee!!! Another giant step! Way to go Aiden!!!

OH NO! That poor little guy, his body is going through too much. You are almost there, don’t worry Aiden, you will make it! jingle jingle jingle. He’ll be upstairs soon. Can Lisa and Joey at least hold him? Okay, I am worried right now. Poor sweet little cub. Sending strong love vibes your way.

Yay!!! So glad Aiden is out of the hospital and moved in to the Mason House and you all are doing SO well! Such wonderful news. I hope you had a quiet, restful night. Cheers and God Bless.

You know, one day, when this is all happily behind us and just brings back warm memories of how we all got to see firsthand how the power of prayer and love and positive thinking really DOES work, the only liver in our day-to-day lives will once again be something which is an acquired taste with bacon and onions.

And I will never look at foie gras or pate the same again.

Duh. I didn’t think about which computer was stamping the time on the message. My brain is still on holiday.

Come on, little guy…

hope you had another good day!

LordHelpus, I completely agreee- on all counts!

I think that posting the pictures was a great idea- and this is coming from a very squeamish person! I love being able to share in a little more of Aiden’s life. And Lisa and Joey look so happy just being with their PINK baby!

And Joey is a cutie! How did you two meet, Lisa?

Hope Aiden is having another good day!

Have a Happy New Year Hawk family. God bless you and especially baby Aiden.
