Aiden update.. Posted Pictures! Must end the Aiden thread. Aiden is doing excellent. THANK YOU COTH!!! (137) 1/23

Good morning Hawks. Thinking of you, praying for you and jingling for you as always.

Have a great day little lion!

Little Lion Aiden!!

You have taught me so much in such a short period of time. I have always felt so sad that my son who died in July of 2001 didn’t have the chance to have a liver transplant. His doctors had said that he was too damaged internally from his childhood chemotheraphy for acute lymphocytic leukemia that he would never survive the surgery!! Now I can see why he probably would never have survived. My son was a real tiger in fighting ALL at a time when there was no cure, his prognosis was 6 to 18 months but he lived an additional 30 years!! and enjoyed every minute of it. He was happily married and couldn’t have asked for more. Now he is with his Lord and Savior in Heaven, perhaps being the angel on Aiden’s shoulder. My son had said he had seen angels in his room when he was very sick and thinking he might just die. Life is so very precious, enjoy every minute of it, and try never to complain!! I have a picture of a real lion I took in East Africa while on Safari with my son. It’s funny how this red head liked to be called “Tiger”!! I’m having a problem seeing where and how we post a photo—may have to try that later.

YEAH

Lisa,

What wonderful news this morning.

Keep on going little lion and soon you’ll be a big lion with a bigger “family” than you ever imagined possible.

God be with you all.

Just when things were looking up.

I feel so… useless.

Come on Aiden, keep fighting! You’ve got thousands of people fighting with you.

As I sit here this evening with my daughter ( 21!!! egad, when did that happen ???) home from college…I wish Lisa and her family the same feelings that I have now …May you have the same feelings I do now, Lisa when Aiden is 21

As others are posting lyrics, I heard this tonight, and thought of Aiden…pardon the “Western Country” flair, but I think it fits

“This Christmas Time”

Presents underneath the tree
Candles burning bright
Stockings hung with lots of care
On this silent Christmas night
What makes this season magical
Is what made my dream come true
Just seeing you
To be here with you

Oh this Christmas time
Is the best one ever
The greatest gift in life
Is you and me together
And I thank heaven for sending you here tonight
This Christmas time

Some people hope for rings of gold
All that money buys
Children have their list of toys
Prayin’ Santa gets it right
The one thing I wish for
Came true when you walked in
To hear you laugh again
To see you smile again

Oh this Christmas time
Is the best one ever
The greatest gift in life
Is you and me together
And I thank heaven for sending you here tonight
Oh this Christmas time

Oh this Christmas time
Is the best one ever
The greatest gift in life
Is you and me together
And I thank heaven for sending you here tonight
Sending you here tonight
This Christmas time

Merry Christmas to the Hawke Family !!

Wow, I’ve been away from the computer all day so I hadn’t seen all the updates, but I’m sooo glad his little liver is finally working! That is the BEST news!!

Hang in there Aiden!! I prayed for the Hawks and the donor family like crazy at Church today…God is probably about ready to cut me off for using up all my “minutes”.

I guess I don’t have anything to say, but as always many prayers and jingles are coming from me (And my entire office! When I walk in in the the morning everyone asks how he is.)

What if the Hokey Pokey IS what its all about?

Yay, Aiden!! Keep on kicking! I don’t have any news past what’s already posted. I will definitely post any news I get that’s not on here already.

I just want to say again how amazing each and every one of you are. It warms my heart so often - just when I get in that really doubtful time and I get scared for the real deal stuff, my thoughts always go immediately to COTH and think about how many people in so many places that are thinking and praying for Aiden. That amount of positive thinking generates a force to be reckoned with!

Also - for those of you who have not met Lisa or Joey in person - those two are their own force. No child of theirs will exist without an infinite resevoir of might. Aiden, as his own person, is a person who will not be told that he can’t make it, or he can’t get past something. Reminds me of how people refer to horses - you have to ask them to do something, and usually they want to please. You cannot make them do anything, though - they are simply too independent, and too proud. To me, Aiden shares the same trait. That boy has from both of his parent the determination and will to put any historic dictator to shame. If anyone will surpass insurmoutable odds, it is Aiden Hawk.

All of your support and positive thinking is pushing Aiden’s fate closer and closer to getting out of this forest. Thank you - from my heart - for supporting someone I love so much; selfishly, lovingly, and sincerely. It is an amazing witness of faith.

Pray hard through the night!

Lisa or Joey - if you read this, know that I’m thinking of you right now as you read, hoping and knowing that all will end well. As for Aiden, he’s heard me the whole time. I love you all, and look forward to seeing my smiling PINK baby soon!!!

So tell me again how the 40 Hour Standard was created? I think my boss was busy…

Good Morning baby Aiden… we are still praying… and it sounds as if they are not going unheard. We will continue to pray for your recovery and hope you had a good night. Christmas Eve service at the church will be filled with prayers for Aiden and his family. Keep fighting strong boy.

Good afternoon Hawk Family! I just LOFF coming here and getting wonderful updates! I bet you all (especially Aiden) were glad to get out of the room for a while.
Canterlope…what a wonderful story!
Lisa…I hope you got some much needed rest. Aiden looks absolutely wonderful…all nice and pink!
Hope the good news just keeps on coming!
Love, thoughts, prayers and jingles~

Well, I see a silver lining here.
The doctors wouldnt let him go thru withdrawal if they didnt think he was stong enuf to take it! It is another step (albeit a difficult one) on his road to recovery.

This is him BEFORE he got re-intabated! Remember how I said he was doing so god. This was hime beofre, and he was doing soo good. But that is okay, we are getting there again!!

I also put one on the doorknob (not my Tiffany but a stainless knock off) as my children run in and out in and out. So I know who’s coming and going and I’m jingling at the very same time

Come on, Sweet Baby Boy, this is just a little ground pole you can hop right over.

Spellers of the world untie

Yea Aiden!!! Go Baby Go !!!

HI Lisa and Joey!

Just super news all the way around (well - except for Joey not working right now, but thats a temporary situation!)

Lisa - I know that we were all so darned glad to be a part of this and to be able to do something tangible for you, as a family.
It truly is amazing how people have come together from all over the world for this cause, in whatever way they could do so and we cant forget COTH, who has made all of this possible through this bulletin board, as well as Erin and the other volunteers who have devoted so much time to make sure this all came together, and we achieved our desired goal.
Without everyone, it simply would not have happened.

I am thrilled for you Lisa - no other way to put it.

I am thrilled (as a mother too) that you will be able to experience all that life has to offer with Aiden and that God has given you the gift of time with him. There really is no greater gift to receive.

I also second the request to know what size diapers and clothing Aiden is in right now, and can you please also let us know what he could use right now?
I am assuming that he has about all the stuffed animals one could hope for right now (!) - what else could he use?

Also - how long are you staying at Mason House for?

Thanks Lisa - really looking forward to seeing the new pictures of Aiden!

“Spot”

Lisa, thank you for taking the time to post to us. We’re all thinking about you, wishing you and Joey strength. Aiden’s a tough little guy. We’re cheering him on.

xoxo

So glad to hear that Aiden’s new liver is doing such a fantabulous job!!!

I can imagine how hard it is for you and Joey to watch your little baby in so much pain so I am praying for freedom from pain. And praying also for the generous loving donor family who is experiencing a different type of pain.

Hang in there guys!!! And, all hail Aiden the Lionhearted!!!

I have great timing - I am always lucky to enough to log on right after you have posted more news Lisa!

Love the new pic - he is so adorable! And wow, 15 ounces! That’s extremely excellent - I’m thinkin’ he won’t need that ng tube for much longer!

Saying goodnight and praying that tomorrow is yet ANOTHER good day for ya’ll!!
