Good luck seems so trite but good luck today! There must be hundreds of people who will be with you in spirit all day!

I got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle
As I go ridin’ merrily along
And they sing, “Oh, ain’t you glad you’re single”
And that song ain’t so very far from wrong

Oh, Lillie Belle
Oh, Lillie Belle
Though I may have done some foolin’
This is why I never fell

I got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle
As I go ridin’ merrily along
And they sing, “Oh, ain’t you glad you’re single”
And that song ain’t so very far from wrong

Oh, Mary Ann
Oh, Mary Ann
Though we done some moonlight walkin’
This is why I up and ran

I got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle
As I go ridin’ merrily along
And they sing, “Oh, ain’t you glad you’re single”
And that song ain’t so very far from wrong

So I’ll jingle on along

(Gotta love Google!)

Awesome update!! Go Aiden!! This thread makes me so happy.

Hey little man, thanks for posting, now get packing because youre going home!!! Yahooooo!!!

Lisa and Joey, Im so happy for you, thats the most wonderful news Ive heard all week.
Yes please, a photo of him all wrapped up and leaving the hospital, wont that bring a smile to everyones face.

Hi Eqchick, that was a clear post on what a collapsed lung might be and might be due to;however the “tube” leading from the lungs to mouth and nose is the trachea, not the esophogus-the esophogus is the tube that goes from the stomach to the mouth. I offer this only for the reason of sparing anyone confusion and worry.

Praying very, very hard here that liver, kidneys are strong and the lungs heal perfectly. And prayers for the Hawks and their entire support/safety net. You all love Aiden and you need to keep strong yourselves for the Hawks.
love, June

I am mostly a lurker here, but thought it was high time to “come out”.

I am in awe of the outpouring of love and caring for this little one, and all associated with him. I have read every page of this thread.

My Christmas card to Aiden will be posted tomorrow morning.

Blessings to the Hawk family, and to Aiden’s two special angels sent to this earth for such a short time. Love with no bounds to the two families who gave the greatest gift. My heart goes out to them in this holiday season that will not be very merry for them. May they take enormous comfort knowing they helped others to have a new chance for life.

Finally, may all my strength go out tonight and bond to Aiden’s spirit. His beautiful, fighting spirit that has brought so many people together. The chorus of prayer and caring is deafening, soaring up in a crescendo to the heavens. And may God look lovingly down at his sweet boy’s face and say, “Not now, my child. It’s not yet your time. You have much to do before you come home. Go back to be with your angels on earth.”

Peace to you all tonight. Rest easy. Love is all around you.

Oh, and Goobs, I didn’t mind calling you at all!!! My family is sick of me talking about how happy I am that Aiden is doing well, so it was sooooo nice to be able to talk with someone that shared my enthusiasm.

Its my lunch time now, so I’m going to go find a nice, quiet place to sit and send “happy breathing” thoughts to Aiden and his little lungs.

What if the Hokey Pokey IS what its all about?

My Christmases will never be the same again! I will always think back to a little fledging named Aiden, who will now be able to grow into a beautiful Hawk. Lisa and Joey thanks so much for taking us on your ride, for opening the door and letting us in. Yours is a powerful story of love and determination. Merry Christmas a thousand times over. I am so happy to hear that he is breathing on his own that things are going to start getting better from here on out. When the time comes, I would love to fly down to meet you and Joey and little Aiden. You guys have been through hell and back and thank goodness it’s almost over. I know Aiden will be just fine now; he will just keep getting better and better from this day forward. My prayers continue for him and for all the “Aidens” out there. My sincerest thanks to the Hawks and everyone on this thread for showing me the true meaning of Christmas - one of the most beautiful holidays I have ever had.

Okay Aiden you stay off that ventilator and get rid of the fluid!! We love you very much!!

Good morning, Good luck ! And most of all God Bless!!!

Thank you God for giving us this Christmas miracle!

I am praying (the ability is somewhat rusty, but I used to know how) for Aiden and Lisa and Joey and grandparents and Knowonderwoman. For everyone who has been touched by that enormous soul in the tiny body.

God, you put Aiden on this earth for a reason. Please let him grow to manhood and accomplish the tasks that he was set on earth to do. You have the soul of the baby whose parents so wonderfully gave Aiden the gift of a new liver. You DO NOT NEED TWO! We need Aiden - his parents and friends and cyber-aunts and uncles. You can heal him and return him to his loving family. It is within your power, DAMMIT! Be merciful and allow Aiden to become healthy and strong and the wonderful person that he is meant to be.

Guide the hands of the surgeons today and in the aftermath, give Aiden the strength to recuperate.

Is that too much to ask?
