Thanks for taking the time to update us! It’s so nice to hear something positive. I pray that soon his lung will reinflate and he will wake up and see his Mommy and Daddy there. Hold on to your hope and your faith. God is with you and we are all there in spirit as well.
When he’s well again, we’ll have to have a COTH get together so all of us can meet Aiden…our little Lionheart.

Hey guys–thanks soooooo much for all those awesome posts! They made me cry! I went to have mt blood drawn and it is off to the lab. We should have the results by Tues. That seems like an eternity right now!
To answer the question about being off meds–I know for BC pills you need to be off at least 3 months–the risk is to you the donor, not Aiden 
Anyway–thanks again for all the awesome posts–they inspire me! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

OKay last night our little cub slept beautifully. The first night in 4 days (that sounds weird) Aiden slept peacefully and did not have to be bagged or have any alarms go off, or sounds, or nurses rushing in. I slept for 4 hours!! Joey too!!
Aiden has opened his eyes every so often. I know he is sad. He even had a tear come out. 
I can’t wait to get him off the vent, and squeeze him!!! It is now our 11th day in the ICU and these four walls are getting old. I am ready to bundle him up and put him in his stroller and wheel him in the garden.
Eqchick bought him a little sweatshirt that says: HERO. I loff it. I can’t wait till his tummy is healed enough to dress him in it!! I have a pic I want to post. He is on the vent in it, but you can see how he looks. (little swollen still) But he is so pink!
This New Years is going to be one filled with health and recovery. I can’t wait till he is in that first leadline class. It is one that will go down in history. I wonder where we should do it? Even if it is just in a back yard show it will be awesome!!! (keep putting that picture on my head) I imagine him with little cowboy boots and a shetland pony. Maybe one day.
Looking forward to today. Sara is going to be here in just an hour and a half. And then Jennifer is driving here. My oldest friend, the one that got tested for living donor before Sara. She is Aiden’s other God mother. While Eqchick is one too. He doens’t have a God father, he has 2 God mothers. (you see Aiden has 7 uncles!! No aunts, he needs women influence in his life! 
) Little did I know he would have a hundred new Aunties and Uncles from all over the US. and CANADA!!
Anyway It will be good to Sara and hug her. I know she has had a rough week with the hematoma. What an angel she is. I will post later. YAy for Aiden he is resting so nicely right now. You will take what you can get!
PS/ Spot, in all of this mess, I did want you to know Aiden LOFFED his giraffe! I loffed his beautiful bell. Thank you. XOXO

Aiden is about the same. He has had no changes in his lungs. He is trying to wake up, which shows me that he is building strength, just like you all said.
I am so relieved, but very concerned. It is just so hard watching this slow recovery. But it is a recovery and for that we are so blessed! 
I just read the article in the S. Pete Times. I think it is nice, but No one ever told them the baby was a 3 mont old!??? I have NO idea where she got that from. Also she quoted me and never actually spoke to me. 
I am a little frusterated about the mention of the donor. Anyway, I am glad she mentioned the auction. I had told her about it months and months ago. I think the 2,800 was the origanal money raised when Erin took the collection. You just gotta love journalists. Every time an article came out, it always had some major errors and misquotes. Oh well. Don’t sweat the small stuff. 
The great thing is, it talks about organ donation. I am so glad for that.
We have had a visitor today, Eqchick!! She came to see Aiden and me. Eqchick, as most of you know, is Aiden’s Godmother. Anyway it was good to see her and watch her eyes fill with tears when she saw my pink little baby. We turned the lights on and she gasped. ‘Oh my Gosh! He is so different!’ Yes he is! Oh, Sara I can’t wait till you can see him! For those who have met him before transplant I just know everyone will be shocked when they see how fair he is. It will be so awesome we can have a “Celebrate Life party” here at the hospital. I saw one before, they just let them have the conference room downstairs. And then I can hug you for the amazing support you have given me and Joey.
I haven’t gotten anymore film developed. I have just more of the pics of him with the tubes. If you want me to post them, I will. I just am not sure what you all want to see.
I am hoping that Aiden will be off the vent soon. I want him back. He still looks so good it is amazing. His liver numbers are wonderful here they are:

NO WAY! I am so excited I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the update so quickly! I jumped way out of my chair! Knowonder - I am totally speechless, you are giving the most beautiful and ultimate gift - and a free wax and free drugs at the same time! Oh Christmas is gonna be GOOD this year! Fingers are still crossed. A big wet sloppy kiss from New York all the way to Atlanta and beyond to Florida for sweet Aiden!

I am at my sister’s for Christmas dinner and had to come over here to say how thrilled I am. “Fred” called me yesterday to keep me updated and I am so happy. This has made my Christmas!!!
