Aiden update.. Posted Pictures! Must end the Aiden thread. Aiden is doing excellent. THANK YOU COTH!!! (137) 1/23

I’m so sorry to hear this.

Jennifer - you are an angel to have tried. Here’s hoping the right match will be here any hour!

What great news!!!

going to be giving some extra extra jingles all night long for tomorrow’s testing!!

For those of you who give blood, or now are going to do so, you can also do a pheresis donation–pardon the spelling but I did it by sound. My husband now does these and they take the platelets from the blood; however, it does take longer than a regular blood donation. From what I understand, not many people do this and he never has to wait when he goes in even if it is spur of the moment. Something to think about.

I’m thrilled to hear the good news. The power of prayer is a wonderful thing. I cannot express the wonder I feel at how this little boy has brought together a group of people for such a wonderful cause. We love you Aiden, Lisa, and Joey.

I cannot help but think of the wonderful gift the donor family gave. We watched Discovery Health last night and a boy received a lung transplant. It takes special people all the way around. Another case had an 18 month old boy who received a heart. The parents said that the parents of the donor were definitely his god parents although they did not know them. I thought that was appropriate because it takes so much faith to be able to give such a gift. For my husband and I, it has always been a definite–I mean when we are dead, we will not need our organs or tissues, so we would rather someone be able to use them if possible, but many people have odd feelings about this–we have been doing some talking to friends about Aiden and why it is so important to be a donor. One of my best friends has now changed her mind and become a donor because of Aiden, so in that way someday perhaps, another person and their family will be helped because of the courage of one wonderful little angel named Aiden.
God Bless.

What can I say? I am back home now–Aiden is doing great–I got to see those big beautiful eyes open several times today. Joey and Lisa were kind enough to let me stay back there with my precious boy a lot today. He gives me such peace just being near–thank you for that gift guys.

Got to meet Dakotawyatt, Aunt Stephanie, Mr. Dakotawyatt, and the real baby Dakota Wyatt–an absolute cherub with blonde hair and blue eyes and an incredible smile–just like my Aiden will be soon!!! Thanks so much for coming to visit!

We need to start planning the celebration–I’m telling you now–that baby is on his way back to us in a hurry!!!

Let’s get some dates together!!! I can’t wait!

This is good news. I haven’t posted on this thread before, but just wanted to add my best wishes and prayers to this thread. This has been a long hard journey for everyone, and now the journey is almost over. Hugs to the family that has recently lost their child, but what a brave decision.

Aiden is the most beautiful little rock I’ve never met. What a lucky little guy to have parents like you and you husband (and ooh so many friends).
God Bless you and your family this holiday season.
My children and I are praying for you.

God knows what He’s doing when He plants those little seeds! He knew today would indeed be a very pink day!!!

Good Morning, Little Lion! We are so looking forward to the day when you are out of the hospital and can embark on your “tour” to visit all of your Aunties and Uncles!

When you come to the Hampton Classic you can visit with us and play with all the toys (see first pic)–and when you visit us at the farm in Ocala, Lucie the Lab (2nd pic on next page) is waiting to play!

As for the leadline class…if we have to, we can strap a saddle on the pony that has seatbelts. (For those of you who have babies-one of those safety bath seats would probably work. Working on pro-type now )

As his aunt, you know that,

  1. NO girl will ever be good enough.
  2. When he gets in trouble and calls you, you are sworn to secrecy and are never allowed to tell Lisa and Joey you bailed him out of it.
  3. When he’s in college and needs beer money you will be the one he calls first

How lucky you are to have such a wonderful little man in your life.

OK–Aiden is doing SO well thst the docs have decided to extubate (take him off the ventilator) TODAY!!! Lisa is going back in with him now to see him before the procedure. She will call once it is done and she sees him!!!

This is a good thing as he will be weaned off the sedation and woken up for this–that will allow him to move around which in turn will help the fluid that is built up SOOOOOOOO…the little guy’s got one more fight on his hands–his bilirubin is now down to 1.2–“perfect” according to the doctors! His liver function numbers are continuing to drop and at last count were at 300!!!

So–another round of prayers and jingles if you please for AIDEN to breathe on his own and fight to get that fluid gone–I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE LITTLE GUY!!!

Fred–thank you for those kind words but I didn’t really “do” anything–there were many lined up behind me to do the same thing–I just couldn’t let that precious, wise spirit leave us without every chance we could give him!

MERRY CHRISTMAS WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I too would go off everything if it would work, but don’t you have to wait a few months for everything to clear?

I’ve gotten my friends following the auction for aiden thread. They’re stoked, one wanted to donate but realized he has nothing even remotely horse related (we’re all art students) so he just sends his love and good wishes. As do I

I’d like to send hugs and snuggles for all you brave, completely selfless people out there doing such good.

FIGHT, AIDEN, FIGHT!!! You can DO it!!!

Great news Lisa. I am so pleased with the progress Aiden is making. He is truly a fighter.

For the truth that binds us all together
I would like to say a simple prayer
That at this special time you will have true peace of mind
And loff to last throughout the coming year ~The Christmas Wish

“Every day is better.”

Lisa, how GREAT it must feel for you to be able to say THAT!!!

And then there’s that other word: “PERFECT”!!!

So glad Aiden is doing better and better!

Awesome news!! Yaaayyy!

and all my family’s prayers will be for Aiden this morning and in the critical days to come. God be with all of you and give you strength, courage and comfort.

Kate

Way to go Aiden! Keep fighting little lion!!

((((hugs)))) to you, Lisa and Joey.

Thanks, Canterlope! I remember that happening, but I wasn’t sure which one ended up being right! I changed it to 30033 in my earlier post, which is right. Hopefully no one will be confused now! Thanks again.
