Boo hooo Sniff sniff

Okay who said you guys were aloud to make me cry! HAHAHA As usual I am so touched by you guys. Equimom: that was so beautiful. we are printing it out and pasting it on the fridge at the Mason house. (Still wiping the tears away can’t see the dang key board) Robby, what you said is so true. The sick Aiden is gone. The beautiful and sassy and wonderful Aiden is now blossoming. I didn’t really believe the physical therapist when she said he would make huge strides. But now he is twisting and using his back. He is trying to stand with his arms supported. He is so eager to play all day long. He even had a tempertantrum!!! Oh it was so great to see him get so mad! Poor eqchick was holding him and he kicked and bucked and even threw his teething ring on the floor. HAHAHA that is all I have wanted to see in so long! (okay so now I have seen it he can stop hehehehe )

As far as things we need, my parents are in the process of driving up my car . They live near me in St. Pete so they are bringing all of his stuff from home. Some more onesies and diapers. We are so blessed. No one needs to send anything. We have been showered by Aiden’s grand parents, you guys, and friends. My mom just went to Sam’s club to buy him some baby food. SO thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The only thing you can do one thing for us, try to get people to be committed organ donors. Lord knows we need them. Other than that you have done more than enough for us.

As far as Joey’s job, we have had our church accept dontations, (and through funraising efforts) and they are paying our house bills. Also my Mom has done garage sales and tv raffles and a bunch of other things. So we were prepared and ready for Joey’s leave of absence. It was a choice we made. There are THREE of us in this family. All three of us have fought for Aiden to live and pull through. It was not part of the plan to have one of us working and missing anything that happened. Aiden is the priority and the other things God provides. SO thank you for wanting to help, but that is exactly what you did when you did these auctions! You gave us donations here at COTH, and it has allowed us to actually be a family through this!!! That is why I am so grateful to you!!

Today, Aiden is doing so good. we went out to lunch and the weirdest thing happened. No one said ANYTHING about Aiden. No one came up to me and said “OH MY GOD! HE IS SO YELLOW!!” or told me some stupid remedy for it. No one has stared or asked questions. I was able to dress him in a green shirt for the first time with out thinking about how green he looked today. Oh it was so NORMAL!

Aiden did not vomitt today thank God. I was so releived. The anti-viral meds have been making him sick. But he is loosing so much hair. Oh well it grows back. And he didn’t have much to start with He feels great though. And boy is he Sassy!! I am counting the seconds for him to meet his new family. If anyone wants to call or visit, please email me and I will give you the address and phone number to where we are. RolexH@aol.com

Picking up the film today. can’t wait to post XOXOXO Loff you guys

Lisa
Save a life, be an organ donor

Thank you Lord for giving the gift of life. Please bring comfort to the family who has lost their most precious little one. Comfort them in their suffering and give them the courage and strength to meet the days ahead.

Almighty God, entrust Aiden, Lisa, Joey, and Sarah to thy never-failing care and love. Bless the surgeons and caretakers who will aid in Aiden’s recovery by giving them them the knowledge and ability to make him strong once again. Help Aiden’s body accept his new liver so that he may grow to be a man of faith. We cannot thank you enough for your wonderous deeds.

YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Knowonder…I saw a sign not too long ago that said, “Friends are often angels in disguise!!” You truly Rock!!!

Good morning Hawks! I hope all is well and our little lion is feeling fit this morning and you have both gotten some badly needed sleep.

I will be praying much on my way home from relatives…I won’t be able to check the BB until Tuesday night.

Wow, I’m speechless, I’m so sad to hear the news.

I will pray for a glimmer of hope for you Lisa, and Joey.

“What a ride. I am so glad you have taken it with me.”

Lisa, I wouldn’t have missed this for the world. Your child brought back a perspective of Christmas that I lost when my grandmother died in January of 1998. Thank you.

My soul soars again…

Come on, little buddy!

Jingling and jangling and praying and all that!!!

Lord Helpus, you put into words just what I was thinking. I am so awful at expressing myself, so I’d just like to say that I second everything you just said.

What if the Hokey Pokey IS what its all about?

lisa - you are an inspiration to us all. aiden (and what a beautiful name that is) is a tough little man and i wish to your family a merry christmas and a happy new year.

your strength brings tears to my eyes.

stay beautiful. forever.

Anxiously waiting for morning news…hugs to you Hawks!!

What a relief!!! We will still keep the angels in high gear though…

<<I can see elderly people from St. Pete linking to the auction site given in the article only to find out that all that is left to buy is horse semen.>>

Now THAT would be some story for the St. Pete Times…!!!

When you’re down and troubled
and you need a helping hand
and nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
and soon I will be there
to brighten up even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name,
and you know whereever I am
I’ll come running, oh yeah baby
to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall,
all you have to do is call
and I’ll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You’ve got a friend.

If the sky above you
should turn dark and full of clouds
and that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out loud
and soon I will be knocking upon your door.
You just call out my name and you know where ever I am
I’ll come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer or fall
all you got to do is call
and I’ll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Hey, ain’t it good to know that you’ve got a friend?
People can be so cold.
They’ll hurt you and desert you.
Well they’ll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but don’t you let them.

You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
I’ll come running to see you again.
Oh babe, don’t you know that,
Winter spring summer or fall,
Hey now, all you’ve got to do is call.
Lord, I’ll be there, yes I will.
You’ve got a friend.
You’ve got a friend.
Ain’t it good to know you’ve got a friend.
Ain’t it good to know you’ve got a friend.
You’ve got a friend.

It’s time for me to have a chat with my parents. I am sure that they are the angels on my son’s shoulders. They have watched over him and I’ve asked them to please do so with Aiden. From now on Aiden has an extra pair of heavenly grandparents who I’m sure have the Lord’s ear.

I am continuing to send loff and prayers your way, for you Lisa, your family and of course the little fighter himself, Aiden.

For the truth that binds us all together
I would like to say a simple prayer
That at this special time you will have true peace of mind
And loff to last throughout the coming year ~The Christmas Wish

Yeah Aiden!!! That’s just wonderful! Keep on fighting little guy.

May 2003 be a year of blessing and wonder!

I want to echo the sentiments so artfully stated by Fred and many others… Thank you, thank you, thank you, for sharing the miracle of Aiden with us.

God Bless you!

Hawk’s Soar and Lion’s Roar! Love it!

I feel like old friends are moving away.

It’s a bittersweet feeling: I’m sad that the camaraderie of this thread will end (here, anyway, but hopefully picked up and spread to other parts of the COTH BB and Yahoo, too), but so happy that you are able to take this wonderful next step toward a normal life with your sweet baby.

Lisa, Joey and Aiden, I hope you realize how much you have done for us. This experience has renewed my flagging faith in many things, including people, and I’m so grateful for having been able to participate during the last several months.

Now you’re able to continue that extraordinary journey that parents take with children as they grow up. It will again be like jumping a course: probably not all perfect fences, but definitely worth the trip!

Love to you all. Godspeed.
