Am I the only one having problems with this site locking up on me?

Just started a week or so ago. Does it both at home and at work ( OK just access while I am eating lunch HAHAHA). I am using Chrome both places but do not have this problem with other web sites.

Happening to me too - on PC w/Chrome, haven’t noticed it on my Android phone, but I seldom go to COTH on the phone.
Page stops responding & the only fix seems to be exit & reload a couple times.

Yes, I’m having the same problem and am also using Chrome. Mine also started last week.

I’m using Firefox and have had this issue today

It just did the same thing using Windows Explorer.

It started for me this afternoon.

Me too, blank page, then nothing for a couple tries, then back in?
When trying to post, as right now, saying “empty response”, when it obviously is not?

On Mac Safari.

Maybe they are working on the web site?

Trying to edit, I get this message?

HTTP 503 - Service Unavailable: Back-end server is at capacity

Maybe that can help them find the glitch?

Same problem using both Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

I’m on an Android and it’s been looking up on me all afternoon.

Getting blank pages then comes back after a little bit. Came on here earlier and page was blank ,tried here tonight and it’s back. On laptop running on chrome windows 10. First try posting kept getting and Error message.

My uninformed inclination is that COTH is performing some kind of maintenance that is impacting service.

I just spend 45 minutes in various forums and no issues experienced.

Is anyone still having problems?

I will check in with the tech folk. Thank you everyone, and our apologies for the trouble!

Mine was good this morning, but doing the whole blank page thing now, close the tab try and reload several times, will eventually come back. Cutrrently using ipad

Yep, just had the white, blank page several times in a row the past hour or so?

The reason I think we are on a secondary feed, not the main COTH one, is because on my bookmarks, COTH shows up as a plain blue dot, not the green with a white V it has when on the main feed?

That leads me to think the main one is on the blink, or they are working on the main one and shoved us off to the side lines, or both.

Same here @Bluey . I am using a IMac too. Just started for me yesterday.

Still having trouble with blank page, and now the 503 Error that’s posted about in another thread on here. Wasn’t able to access forums till now.

I am frequently getting the 503 and 404 errors. But I am also still seeing the page not load completely. It seems to be a problem with the speed at which the page loads. Often, ads are not loading, which makes it impossible to view the whole page. This has been going on for at least a week. With great reluctance, I cleared cookies (I absolutely hate to do this as it is a big inconvenience) and also cleared browsing history and rebooted, and it didn’t stop the problem.

iMac here + Safari (and Chrome). I haven’t seen these errors you mention recently.

Check in your Safari Preferences in the Websites option and make sure the Adobe Flash Player Plug-in is unchecked. I also have Java unchecked.

I don’t have any ad blocker or anything installed.

I continue to have this problem. I experienced it again this morning. When it happens, I get a pop-up from my browser saying that the page has become unresponsive and asking me if I want to wait or kill the page. Waiting never works. I have to “kill the page” and start over. Sometimes it happens only once during a browsing session, sometimes it happens repeatedly.

It happens at home on my Chromebook and it happens at work on my zippy newish laptop running Windows10. My work internet connection is the fastest available in town with a huge bandwidth. My home internet connection is via a Verizon MiFi wireless hotspot. It happened when I was on a business trip using a brand new Surface Pro to connect via hotel wifi. Thus, I conclude that, contrary to the suggestions made by some, it’s not just an issue with my system.

The problem went away for me the past couple of days but started up again this morning.
