Am I the only one who thinks George Morris is a bad rider?

This is how threads like this go.
Thank you for ruining my work productivity for the past 20 mins. I think I have replayed this like 6 times. I cant stop laughing. Those sitting near me in the office probably think I’ve lost it.

it mutated like many viruses do, hardly “blowing it”

most people who think they have influenza, dont They have some other bowel or cold virus
I think it just showed up at a higher rate than expected; it hadn’t been included in this year’s vaccine because the people doing the predictions didn’t anticipate it would become widespread.

It’s a tricky process, to pick the 3 or 4 flu viruses that are expected to be most prevalent in the next flu season, which is typically 6 to 8 months in the future, and then develop a vaccine and have it ready for flu season.

Hey, at least I am protected for the 3 that were in the vaccine I got.

Dibs on lead guitar!

Definitely ulcers

Glad i stuck with this one just for that aachen video. I have a new appreciation for George after seeing him decked out for the gym in the morning with crazy colored shorts, us olympics t-shirt tucked into said shorts, and gym shoes. My first Monday in Wellington this past summer and in walks George Morris to our breakfast spot.

Hey fellow riders,

I really cannot see why everyone is so enthralled with George Morris. I know he was very successful in his younger years, and I respect that, but I have watched countless videos of him coaching as well as riding and I’m really not convinced that he is skilled or knows very much about training. I will get tons of hate for saying this, and I’m ready for it. I think George Morris is extremely overrated. If you like him, good for you. :)
Just doing this for the record. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve forgotten to quote one of these kind of posts, and then they go poof!

Heather has never abused a horse, in fact she is known as the Horse Whisperer. She has never been arrested for doing drugs, nor has she ever treated anyone unfairly! She promotes everyone with Ethical Principles.

Thank you for the actual Heather quote, but I liked my version better! LOL.

I’m sure there was a little bit more to it. Like maybe she had never been arrested but she had done several rounds in rehab. Something like that.

But you left out that she’s the Horse Whisperer!

I can do some vocals for Antigenic Drift and the Squabbling Koalas, I actually can sing fairly well, but not sure how far we’ll get with just a guitarist and vocalist. Come on, COTHers, we can do this!

Ah, they say they blew it formulating the vaccine for what they thought this years strain would be so maybe, maybe not.

Im on call at work but doubt they’ll call, boring. But not that bored. I’ll let you dig it up.
Saw two at work today. They were both vaccinated about 6 weeks ago.

Still, to quote Taylor Swift
Oh. My. God. I got nothing. Seriously.

I invoked Cello’s Pride for comparison to a different troll. I had completely forgotten about heat.her. Opportunity missed.

OMG, procrastinating and scanning this thread instead of work was worth if for that koala video. I didn’t have sound on but thought they looked liked they were making angry sounds. Um, I was wrong, those sounds were not angry. They were the sounds of cuteness.

I finally stopped getting the vaccine…after three years of reactions to it. I think I learned my lesson. although I suppose 4 days of yuck is still better than the 1 day I get from the vaccine…but the vaccine makes me feel like I’m volunteering for that one day.

I have a friend in real life who advertises himself as the Horse Whisperer. I nearly fell over when I found this out. Because this is an IRL friend, I can’t say all that flits through my mind on this topic.

Supershorty, that is the most brilliant depiction of an (civil, but silly) argument on a COTH forum that has been posted…ever!

You win the prize!!

Thank you! We all need to laugh and that link is priceless!

So, to answer your question (you do remember your question don’t you)?

Your question was; “Am I the only one who thinks George Morris is a bad rider”?

“Anonymo”, It seems that YES, pretty much, you ARE alone in that opinion.

You may argue that G.M. is not your cup of tea, however to opine that he is a “bad rider”?

Bad rider compared to whom? Other about to be 76 year old gold medalists and lifelong teaching professionals? Forty year old current international stars? This years Medal winners?

Or compared to OP who so strongly stands behind the opinion they made up a new alter to hide under.

DH feels crappy after the flu vaccine too. He doesn’t tolerate the thimerisol preservative. When he worked at Wyeth they gave FluMist for free and he was fine with that. He is too old for it now. There is preservative free flu vaccine. Not all pharmacies carry it though. If you want to get a flu shot then the preservative free or FluMist may be worth trying.
DH is pretty sure his reaction is to the thimerisol since he always had reactions to the contact lens saline that used the thimerisol as the preservative.

ME TOO!! I worked at a morgan farm in high school. I spent DAYS searching for the injured herd of cats. I probably spent hundreds of the owner’s dollars wandering around during my shifts looking for it!

Peacocks! Who knew?

Nothing relevant to add about GM. Sorry.

I call GROUPIE!!

Uodate (also off topic): hat.her, per her linkedin, is now in my area. To say I’m excited is an understatement. I will definitely be calling about lessons.
