Am I the only one who thinks George Morris is a bad rider?
It is kind of sad that there are so many young people who do not know or appreciate what those old people accomplished when they were younger! You can love or hate George and his methods but the man can ride (still!) and his record speaks for itself on his training skills
People don’t like him because what he demands is difficult and requires thinking and real horsemanship. It’s not for the lazy.

Do you guys remember when we once had a troll – I have forgotten her exact troll activity, but in the midst of frantic posting, her FATHER came on and chided us for picking on her because she was a good person. In the list of good attributes her father listed about her, he included, “She has never been convicted of any crime.”

So somebody did some due diligence and it turned out that she had been arrested and charged with a crime, but never convicted of it.

And that was the best defense her father could raise on her behalf!!

Does anybody else remember that?
Gee, no, need more coffee. But do remember the kid making outrageous statements whose mother got into it or was just using kids screen name…or was it the kid using the mothers screen name…? House relatives instead of guests I guess.

Everybody is entitled to an opinion. I have my own, never start threads about my opinion of individuals because, really, nobody gives a sh*t. When most others do, the feeling is mutual.

Wasn’t the one whose father came on Hea.ther? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Also, I think I like the name “The Squabbling Koalas” for a COTH band.

You may be right on that one Shorty. There may have been another but don’t recall the conviction anywhere else.

Squabbling Koalas is pretty appropriate.

Well, I’m spending my day at home (seriously, folks, I’d highly encourage getting your flu shot if you haven’t already, this is awful), so I’ll go look through that thread and find out…will report back with findings.

Ah, they say they blew it formulating the vaccine for what they thought this years strain would be so maybe, maybe not.

Im on call at work but doubt they’ll call, boring. But not that bored. I’ll let you dig it up.

I actually had the vaccine, but less than a week ago, so it wouldn’t have helped me.

And YES, it was the Heat.her thread, but we were wrong… it wasn’t that she wasn’t convicted, it was that she had never been arrested for doing drugs. Here’s the quote:

Heather has never abused a horse, in fact she is known as the Horse Whisperer. She has never been arrested for doing drugs, nor has she ever treated anyone unfairly! She promotes everyone with Ethical Principles.

it mutated like many viruses do, hardly “blowing it”

most people who think they have influenza, dont They have some other bowel or cold virus
I feel like “The Fighting Koalas” could be a great band name. Or maybe a hockey team. Or a COTH polo team. I like the possibilities here…
I want to have my Cocker Spaniel lead a rock band named “Puddle of Fur”

It’s called antigenic drift, which I also think would be a good band name.

We’ve got a bad case of topic drift here too. I wonder if the OP feels like she got her question answered???

Living in the tension between clicking that link/rabbit hole and studying for my finals.

Somebody tell me- how many pages? how many houseguests?

CaitlinandtheBay, 40something pages. I had to get to page 27 to find that quote. Many houseguests. Don’t click until after finals.

“Antigenic Drift and the Squabbling Koalas”

I think we’re onto something.

Dam you for posting that link…about 50 pages, almost 1k posts. I am only on page 29 after an hour of laughter, I think 5 houseguests so far.

Had forgotten how good that one got. Maybe topic drift but that one may not have been started as an innocent question any more then this one seems to have been.

I’ve been wasting my whole morning trying to figure out why I’m hearing HUNTING HORNS in my urban apartment.

As it turns out, the Vikings are playing the Jets in the stadium that I can see from my apartment. Apparently the horns are a thing.

Meanwhile, enjoy the image of stupid supershorty running to the window trying to figure out what the heck is going on… all morning…
That is sure a let down. If I heard hunting horns I would like to look out and see the hunt riding thru my street. (Not that there is a hunt anywhere near where I live.)

Thank you for the video of fighting koalas. It really perked my Monday morning right up.

Y’all, I’ve made a terrible mistake.

RIP GPA.

Y’all, NP’s new career is Bounty Hunting. For reals, y’all.

Oh!!! :lol::lol::lol:

Don’t feel alone Supershorty, we’ve all been there. Thankfully we usually aren’t confused by the important stuff…

Only the hunting horns (or the peacocks, mistaken for people screaming for help).

THAT caused me great anxiety for awhile, as a young person who had never heard a peacock, until it dawned on me (after a lengthy period of analysation) that the “help help” sound is the sound that peacocks make in nature. :o

Of course they are not upset ,they just make that that noise (THE NOISE THAT SOUNDS LIKE PEOPLE SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER), the noise over which I agonized; should I should call the police or alert a neighbor? (since my parents were out to dinner)!. :D
That reminds me of a bird we have down here (no idea what kind of bird) that sounds like a child screaming. I was sitting in my room and heard a scream, was almost going to call 911 until I realized it was a bird making the noise.

I like sparkly things!
