Perhaps they all ARE the same woman? Its not like they rot in jail or get banned for life. Perhaps not.:)[/QUOTE]
Sadly, not. Alesha Matchett is still in the same rented farm. They claim to let her only have 10 ‘animal units’. She usually has at least 10 dogs and cats, last time I counted. There were about 8 horses last time I checked. And I just saw an add where she is advertising horse boarding and rent for an RV… with your horses.
We’re watching her like a hawk. When we can prove there are more than 10 animals there, and our pleas to the humane society once again fall on deaf ears, we’ll be back here on COTH, asking a few hundred of our closest friends
to call the humane society and the sheriff and demand they do their job. I’ve been working (in my spare time, ha!) on figuring out how the humane society is contracted, what they are required to do, how much they get paid, and how the contract can be switched to someone else who will actually enforce the laws in our county.
It is pitiful that these people are continually allowed to starve animals, and only get slap on the wrist for it.
Sorry to slightly derail the thread. Great job, Jenn.
