I was wondering what people thought of Amber Hill Ponies and their training? I understand what happened in the past, do they still do that? Would they be a good enviroment?

Well, I didn’t know anything about this … so googled. There seem to be quite a few by this name – 2 in GA, one in NJ, possibly one in PA since the PA Police were involved in investigations, more than one FB page. Two results were court cases with defendants of the same name … one was posted by PA Police, one was for the NJ address. . . . . . . .
(In some cases more useful to google than ask a question here. It can seem like a club more interested in celebrating its status than sharing what it knows. :no:)

Farm’s down south someplace, the PA Pony was only there for the show and the NJ address might have been a litigant or the person who filed a protest…it’s been awhile and it was complicated.
She was in NJ prior to going south. Perhaps in hopes no one had heard of her down there.

We’ve heard of her. On top of that, I’m not particularly thrilled with any of the prospects she has.

Amber Hill was made infamous when the trainer injected a pony with something at Devon, within the 12 hour window, in full view of a pony mom, and the pony then collapsed and died in the cross ties. There was a huge front page NYT article and lots of law suits.

Actually, I believe the rule about the 12 hour window for injections came about following that incident.

Also, does anyone else find it a bit odd that she basically uses a head shot of herself for her Amber Hill Ponies Facebook Profile Pic? Maybe I am just being judgy but everytime I see it pop up in my feed I’m like, why??? :eek:
