I heard the pony princess’s story a while ago from multiple people and from what I understand the kid is the one telling this information. The kid has been flown around to more than one trainer… Careful with this one though, because apparently Mom was partners with EM for a while and despite the lawsuit mom may now be back in EM’s good graces. As far as EM is concerned, there is enough out there already that will give everyone a clear picture… and that doesn’t even scratch the surface!

Well, least we know what happened to OPs posts/rants this morning, and a piece of one of mine, sorry Mods, I knew better.

Well, least we know what happened to OPs posts/rants this morning, and a piece of one of mine, sorry Mods, I knew better.
We actually only edited out a portion of post #71 and the quote of it in your post. The posts that were deleted in their entirety had already been deleted by the poster herself when we checked the thread.

Thanks ~

Thanks for clarifying who deleted what and why. Like herding cats, isn’t it?

So much drama I can barely even handle it.

Yaasss!!!
you don’t think a 14 year old could have written that? It’s not Shakespeare. You either have very low expectations of teens or just aren’t around them much.
IME, true stories tend to be told much more economically. Invented stories tend to have irrelevant detail to make them sound more “authentic” or “believable.” The pony princess post does not sound entirely true to me.

First, if she was knocked out cold in a riding accident and went to the hospital for scans on a head injury, I don’t believe she would have been allowed to fall asleep by the hospital staff! And she wouldn’t have been cleared to check out the next day and go back to competition. Especially if she was passing out in the car constantly.

This may have been written by a 14 year old, or an adult with a grade 7 reading/writing level. I am sure it reflects some real dispute.

But the scenario for the accident and medical treatment absolutely does not make sense, and shows up the whole account as being a fabication.

What was the gist of the dead pony one?

ETA: To clarify, I know about Humble, just curious what theponyprincess was saying :)
Some pony was free leased. EM got a call that pony was neglected and needed to be nursed back to health. Brought pony to AH, started nursing pony back. New pony needed the stall, so sick pony got kicked out onto a pasture “in the back” and was found dead a while later (decomposing was the word used, so I’m guessing quite a while later). EM didn’t care about dead/decomposing pony.

RIP pony

Oh look! Another house guest!

Seriously, y’all. I am TRYING to drink less wine.

Then you’re on the wrong thread. Especially with all the first-post greenies on this one. That’s a sure sign for more wine.

Look, I made a rhyme! I’ve been listening to the Hamilton soundtrack WAY too much.

Wait, the OP came back!!! Shoot, I missed a bunch of gems it sounds like

I find that teens and irrelevant details go hand in hand. I think they spend a lot of time in school teaching them how to tell a story/write papers without all the irrelevant details. Some people have a very hard time getting to the point even as adults. A clear, pertinent, linear retelling of facts is very hard for some, teen or not.

Please re-read. She never said she was knocked out cold…just that she couldn’t remember anything until the hospital. I’ve been around many people that were never unconscious but can’t remember what happened. There was no passing out, you are adding that detail.

Falling asleep is a sign of a head injury…but many people do not know that and allow someone to sleep thinking it will help them.

If all the tests came back clean, its highly likely she would be released, most likely with instructions on what to watch for. She says she went to the show the next day, not that she rode. We just don’t have that detail.

But the scenario for the accident and medical treatment absolutely does not make sense, and shows up the whole account as being a fabication.

I disagree. Your incorrect reading of the scenario lends more support to a fabrication. The story as posted, while a bit confusing the way it was written is more believable.

Wine for breakfast???
Now you have made me wonder if Chardonnay would go well on my Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal?
It’s a pretty buttery Chardonnay, so it might be good…

I read this entire thread this morning and must be missing something, a decomposing pony in a paddock?!

Are you unfamiliar with the breakfast of college champions everywhere, Beerios?

I have a unrelated question. Well, it’s not about the topic of this thread but about a post being completely deleted by the person posting it. How does that work and is it a new thing? I thought that once you posted something you could go back and edit it down to nothing, but the “blank post” with the date, time and username would still show up in the thread.
Was I wrong?

In the edit you can delete any post.
(Which is why I always wonder why there are so many ‘oops, double post’ posts on this board.)

Looks like you can delete now. If you click Edit on your own post there is an option next to cancel that says Delete. (I didn’t click it since I didn’t really want to delete my post:cool:.)

Thanks guys!

Well I wasnt PLANNING on having wine tonight, but I guess I have to now…
