Miniature Horse - $200 (Statesville)

Leroy. Between 8 and 10 years old. Sweet, tame stud. Will pull wagon and ride small children. Serious inquiries only.

Another add:

"I have a four to five year old mini horse mare I have had her about 3-4 years now and she has never kicked bit reared or bucked … She rides small kids and pulls a cart … She is solid black with three small white dots down her spine… The only thing wrong with her is she has a small limp on her front leg but it doesn’t bother her and i am asking 200$ for her "

Wonder if they had the vet out?!

And today’s honorable mention:

I have a 7 year old male registered Tennessee walking stallion black with paper Seattle broke trained to good home no one that’s going to take him to the meat market I’m asking $1500 or best offer he’s very sweet genital and loving

What is Seattle trained? Not even gonna ask about “genital” haha. :D[/QUOTE]

But, you can make duck face selfies!
Even the horses in the selfies is like, WTF.

Pay for my lame horse please for 6-8 months. Oh and he needs at least 6 months off and corrective shoeing. I’ll see you when I get home.

Who knows, maybe he doesn’t even need “corrective” shoeing. How about just a visit from a competent farrier to start with?

For today I bring you “Farm Stud”

http://chattanooga.craigslist.org/grd/4368043625.html

Nice Paint Breeding Stud and Mares
Beautiful Black and White Paint Stud, approx 8 yrs old, used for farm breeding, not broke, no papers, price is $1,000.

Lovely Sorrel and White Paint Filly, approx 2 yrs old, not broke, no papers (she is the one on the right side of pic and her dam is on the left). The filly is the daughter of my blk & white farm stud, price is $600. The dam is registered APHA and she is approx 12 yrs old, price is $850.

The dark gray and white yearling was also from my farm stud (SOLD).

Unfortunately, because the world is full of worthless scammers—CASH ONLY—NO Checks, Money Orders, etc.—NO TEXT—NO EMAILS-

Or if you just want a free baby you can contact this dude.

I have two young appaloosa studs. I would be willing to breed up to two mares per stallion with no stud fee and limited conditions. Both studs are registered. But I would be willing to to breed for free if you didn’t want a registered foal. I would also need proof of negative cogins. Would also ask $8 a day mare care. The black leopard is one of my studs. This is his first foal born on 4/4/14. My phone is messed up and not receiving text you can call

And to wrap up todays adds if you don’t want to wait the whole time to have a baby, someone has a “TWH FILLIE” for sale too.

Sorry to bump this back up but I just ran across a great auto correct

“Leather endurance saddle for sale. Great saddle. I am just getting out of the horse business. Full price or close to it gets a brand new wall saddle hanger and two breastfeeding straps”

I just want to rag on the Craigslist non-buyer who wanted to lowball me on my dog cage I had to sell recently, who never did actually get around to naming a price…he wanted it cheaper than a brand new one, but would never actually SAY how much he was willing to pay.

Luckily, a real buyer came by the next day and bought it, so I was able to tell him so.

For those moments when using your arms for holding the breastfeeding baby while you’re riding just won’t do!

Too funny.

Another well written ad on CL:

Have you never heard of the period? Or comma? Or a dictionary? Funny. Not sure what to make of “lots of Hanel”. Maybe he can play music.

Can’t let this thread die.

This seller seems to think the horse is worth what she would have been in the early 80s and ‘then’ adjusted the price up for inflation.

Yes she is groomed but it seems to stop there, not standing square, and her head is common for her breed (okay, not outstanding, the rope halter doesn’t help), and her unpolished feet look off angle in the front, The right looks steeper than the left (Like she always puts the left foot forward while grazing to compensate for those long legs.

If you are going to ask 60K why not put 2 or 3K into professional prep, presentation and photography?

To my inexperienced eye the mares pedigree does not show any outstanding horses in it since the bottom fell out of the market when the tax laws changed.

From all the BST in the pedigree it looks like an equine version of a puppy mill. There is very little outside blood since the mid 80s which leads me to speculate that the breeder obtained her breeding stock when farms were giving away horses or sending them to auction with their papers tied around their neck in the hopes someone will buy them before they went to slaughter.
BST rescued a batch (good thing to do) and started breeding them (bad thing to do).

At least she is not starved.

I agree with you 100%. Her pedigree is perfectly respectable, nothing rare, and nothing that will attract the big-money Middle Eastern buyers. I’d be very surprised if the seller was able to get anything over $1,000 for her. The prices for her and for the other horses listed seem rather delusional. There is no show record listed, either (I don’t have Datasource). The mare doesn’t appear to have very much substance/bone to her. She’d probably make someone a lovely trail horse.

CIK- She looks like a cull from the breeding program.

I retract the breeding = bad statement as the breeder has a goal in mind. He is breeding for the dry lean look that the Middle eastern buyers are drawn to and the eruopean buyers usually are not.

Nothing wrong with buying on sale (86 fallout) sale items are the same stuff only cheaper.

The high priced siblings look like tiny saddlebreds with nice arabian heads.

The mare in the ad looks like a nice average arab who would make a nice riding horse but she isn’t going to bring 60K because anyone smart enough to have that kind of money to spend is smart enough to comparison shop.

The filly is cute, but not $60k cute.

What I do like is their fencing!

Don’t ride around construction sites with this one.

d4ts6-4740521208@sale.craigslist.org

I have a wonderful 10 year old bay Arabian gelding named Whitley he is around 15.1hh. As far as I was told he has been used in jumping and prefers English over western (I can tell) but he is also trained in barrels, is not all that fast… Would make a great horse for an experienced young rider as he is a bit stubborn but good with little kids, he is good for trail riding, but construction sites make him nervous and he tries to canter or speed walk when you’re riding, nothing harmful, he is UTD on his shots and worming He does have a tendency to be pushy at times but because he is a little anxious not dangerous. $600 or BEST offer with tack add $200, take him as is, I will not ride him for you as he does not like me and has bucked me off plenty of times, he is a great horse just not for me, call and I can explain the reason why, does fine on trail rides and in round pen just not my arena. Need him gone fast!!!

It looks like the seller is marking the mare down rather than taking the trouble of actually training or showing her to justify the price.

http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/grd/4742076329.html

‘Sigh’ - At this rate he will put more into feed and board than he will get before the price drops to the level that someone will pay.

Poor mare, I’m sure she would actually rather be loved by a young girl than be a show horse. She does look like a sweet tempered thing.

I could not agree with you more. She has perfectly respectable bloodlines and looks to be as sweet as can be. She’s probably be a great competitive trail horse, or a lovely junior rider horse once she gets a little bit older. If she was realistically priced, she’d probably find a home fairly quickly.

Daily performance enhancer?

From my local craigslist. I have heard it called liquid lungeline but not daily performance enhancer.

“With heavy heart I am selling my 2006 Thoroughbred mare. She is a import and is a true sport horse. She likes to up, sometimes, and other times she goes right through it. My trainer feels its time for me to move up to a more advanced horse. Petuna(the horse) is on a daily performance enhancer I believe called Ace. Before she was on this supplement she was a nut, but this has really helped her out. She is not good with little kids, and kids should be kept far away from them, and also dogs!”

I think it is time for a more ethical trainer too.

That is the first time I have ever heard Ace described as a “performance enhancer.”
