His vet is is partner. As a vet you take an oath and should be held responsible for misconduct.

There is also way more horrible videos that have not been made public.

AM doesn’t have a close relationship with his family, so not surprising dad hasn’t heard from him

Sadly, many horses have flipped over due to AM training tactics and his vet just sews them back up or gives them dex for the welts.

He was reported many months ago, and nothing has been done so they went to SM.

He did this behavior at WFP and almost got kicked out.

More powerful people in the eventing community are / have been aware of this behavior and have stood by and covered for AM because he rode well.

The FEI and USEA have known about this for months, they’ve been sent the videos, they’ve heard witness accounts and yet they’ve done nothing about it.

The current chef d’equipe has known about this for a very long time and covered up for Andrew.

Please don’t think he’s alone in this. Multiple professionals in the area are well aware of what he’s been doing and didn’t act. It took a brave bunch of people to stand up to the “giants” and do the right thing for these horses.

This is disturbing and sad.

I’m not going to name the vet and practice involved, because I don’t have first hand knowledge of this.

But if someone does… they should speak up. There are many people with sport horses in the Southern Pines area who probably would want to know information like that about a local veterinarian, and avoid them.

That is what has clearly been alleged by two other posters on this thread, and in comments on Facebook.

I personally do not have firsthand knowledge of this. I did quote other poster’s comments about it for clarity.

one can also imagine an overindulged man-child that has never been corrected for any error growing into a monster as well.

I’m so far behind but this is exactly what I am thinking. Mr. McConnon is well aware his son is short-tempered and is a bully with a mean streak. It is even possible that the son learned those traits from his father - look at how McConnon Senior has tried to bully people on this thread into shutting up and/or revealing their identities. And I am getting the sense that Senior has coddled his son all along by making excuses for his bad behavior and trying to protect him from possible consequences of said bad behavior.
