That’s Vinny, he belongs to the lessee. We thought it best not to separate them, and he’s no trouble at all.
My TB would literally snatch the flake of hay I was putting in his stall if he thought I was tardy dispensing it
@Heinz_57 BO!
Love that Feed Me nicker
& Glancing over at his bud looks to me like “And give me his too!”
“He says he’s not hungry anyway!”
Any update on Mr Bo?

And Peach…we haven’t seen him lately either. Need a progress check in.
He’s still kicking!
When I checked on him last month he had lost some weight, so we’re keeping an eye on that. Unfortunately the lessee isn’t in a position to add more meals with her work schedule, and he’s a picky old fart so our options are limited to increasing the amounts of his two meals a day - if he will eat more. The grass is coming in hot now so hopefully that will give him a boost too.
If we can’t get it worked out, bringing him home where he can get extra meals is always an option - but he’s happy with his little herd and I’d hate to pull him from it unless absolutely necessary.
@findeight Peach is still freeloading but that’s more my fault than anything to do with him. We’ve had a muddy winter and I picked up a “side” job last fall to better fund their alfalfa habit, so all of the horses have been out of work. His feet are still a work in progress, a couple more trims and the last of the abscess aftermath should be gone. I plan to get them all back in work soon… I hope.
I haven’t taken many pictures lately, but here’s him expectantly waiting for his lunch a couple weeks ago:
Everyone is shedding and mud-crusted and looking most unattractive right now
Thank you. Never apologize or feel you have to defend leaving a horse to heal and recover from a less than ideal history plus an abscess from hell.
He looks much more robust than he did. Bet when he sheds that coat will be gorgeous.
When I was younger and less wise, I’d have been raring to go but I have others to ride, and I’m in no special hurry now. I haven’t even test-fitted saddles on him yet! His wonky feet have been the biggest holdup, and it won’t surprise me if he ends up living in front shoes long term.
I am looking forward to getting him going this year, I adore all my oversized pets but there’s nothing like an athletic TB.
